Re: Giant sized error
Since it's an error that makes the difference in where a person spends eternity it's really an infinity-sized error.
How do you know that protestants actually go to heaven and catholics don't? Do you have any independently verifiable evidence that this is the case? Because I am pretty sure that catholics will disagree with you, so we need some independent evidence to verify this claim. What is it?
Or is this another case where you just have to "have faith" or "know the Truth(TM)"...?

Re: Giant sized error
I made no claims beyond that. Now you can believe either one or the other or neither, but you can't believe both.
So are you saying here then that you actually don't know who gets saved and who doesn't?
Edited by Dirk, : typo

Re: Giant sized error
No, Dirk, I'm not saying I don't know
Yes, you are. I asked you for evidence that catholics don't get saved. You don't seem to have it, therefore you don't seem to know. You might believe all you want about you getting saved and catholics not, but that does not make either of those true. What you are basically saying here is that you are a protestant, but that you can't argue why, because you have no evidence that catholics are actually wrong. So I ask you again:
I'm a Protestant, I believe in Salvation by Grace Alone Through Faith Alone In Christ Alone
How do you know that this is true, and that catholics got it wrong?
Edited by Dirk, : clarify

Re: Let's ask the Catholics about Salvation
Actually, I think that Tangle's question was not about how you are saved, but about how you know that you are saved (and how you know that catholics are not, if I may add).

Re: Let's ask the Catholics about Salvation
Faith cannot conceived that the how you are and how you know are different things.
I guess that you are right, given that I asked the same question several times now. And if there actually would have been any evidence for any religion having a higher success-rate in getting people into heaven/nirvana/walhalla than any of the others, we would probably have had it by now anyway...
