Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
People are just as responsible as the devil in that manner to my belief. They allow themselves to be tricked or commanded by the devil to do such terrible acts.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
I belive that you get one last chance to choose God when you die. Further more, babies, small children, and those who haven't heard the word of God are innocent and therefore are accepted into Heaven, at least from what I've heard from my father.

Also, dogs are animals. They act on instinct and on what they are taught. If the person being bitten caused the dog to bite them, it's their own fault. If the dog bit for no reason, it's the owner's fault.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
Think of it this way. God allows evil to happen to show us a glimpse of what waits for us when we die and choose the devil. God also gives us miracles and blessings, but they are things unseen by most due to the media. Would you choose to go to a place a thousand times worse than earth? Or would you choose a place a million times better than earth?

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
I meant that the media only shows bad things that happen. Rarely do they talk about the amazing survivors of a crash or how a pair of attached twins survived their seperation. God does show us Heaven. He gives us people that we love and that love us. He gives us great people and those who show mercy.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
I have never heard of that before. I can offer no proof of the devil, nor can I offer proof of God, and I believe that is because if we had any true proof, we would all be pushed to choose God, which isn't the kind of love He's looking for, at least that's what I think.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
Something against the laws of physics? God was the first scientist, and therefore He created physics. Well, think of when people have little chance of surviving something. A number calculated by science if you will, with great odds against them. Even if they survive with seemingly little miraculousy, doesn't it seem amazing?

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
I don't mean that they cover miracles up, they rarely show good things that happen. Most of the time, you see on the news of crimes and tradgedies, not good things. Key word here is RARELY.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
In this day and age, it seems that a precious few people have a conscience. From your statement, you are one those few, and I bow to you for it. If someone dies, I belive that they have one last chance to choose God. If they miss it, it's their fault. Basicly, I am saying that evil and temptation are one in the same. By giving into temptation, we give into evil. That is why we have free will. We are tempted to do things which we can choose not to do. I really don't know if this is getting my point across...

Re: Survival is amazing?
I suppose now that miracles are seen by people who need them. For example, after 9/11 I am sure that many people found miracles because they needed them to reassure their faith. Now, I can assume that since athiests are..well athiests, they don't see miracles because they don't need them. Thank you people so much. This is what I look forward to after school, having intelligent conversations.

Re: even evedence isn't enough
How true. I am Christian, but I think that the earth was created along the same time lines as those who are evolutionists. God's six days may have been six million earth years.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
Humans are different. We love most of the people we love because we can identify with them to some extent, we share the bond of species and usually, mentality. People earn our love through physical expressions, usually. Parents feed us and raise us, friends share with us and help us. God does these things, but in ways that we can't see very obviously. "Proof" of our parents' existance adds to the reasons we love them, I guess. Proof of God comes from within. The way my family sees it is this: from the moment we're born on earth, we have a longing to go Home. Home is Heaven, being with God. We may not know it conciously, but we know it in our souls.

Re: Survival is amazing?
Er...I guess that's interesting. As for the paranormal, I belive in some kinds, I guess. Mostly because I have had first hand experiance with it. Ghosts, for example. Occasionally, my great grandfather will sit in his favortie chair and rock. I belive that he does that just to let us know that he's still around. As for telepathy, all of the women in my family experiance it pretty regulary. Basicly, some things seem to be only belivable when a person experiances them. I have never really experianced Gods directly, but I belive in Him with all my heart. Even if man kind cane never prove His existance, I belive in Him.

Re: Clash Fans thread synopsis
As for my Christian background, just two years ago, we really got into our religion. My family had been...pew warmers, I guess, and just recently, we went more indepth and know understand just what we belive in. As for demons, one(as a Christian who belives in such things) can't go through life ignoring them. If you spread out your arms, you touch angels and demons fighting. They are unseen, but there none the less, so one must understand and be aware of demons in order to protect yourself against them.
