Well, there are naturalistic explainations for all of those. EMotions are part of the evolutionary process. You can see the emotions we have reflected in animals too. I am sure you have seen anger, jealousy , love and hate all refected in cats and dogs.
The forces of nature are 'greater than myself', but it is not an intelligent being that is either benign or malignant. It is just the complex environment that we live in... and all the more marvelous to realise it could come around via natural processes.
I always depended on myself, not on others. Sometimes , I need more help , but I get help from others people, not from something that I
can not see or sense.

Re: It's a matter of choice
Love plays a very important part of insuring the surivival of our species. Man evolved as a social animal, and love insured that mothers will take care of their children, and fathers take care of mothers and children.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
Except, not only is there no god, there is no devil either.
There are just things that happen in life, and there are things that are caused by other people.
HOld you hand out, palm up, and empty. I then want you do DENY that which is sitting on your hand.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
Quite. There is not a demon in your hand. Therefore, you can not deny it, since it doesn't exist.
To the atheist, the demon in your hand and god are the SAME THING.

You know, you can claim demons all you want.
You can not show me one demon. Demons do not exist. Demons are a myth.
Man , apparently, does not need an outside cause to be either cruel or kind to each other.

Re: Believe or Else
Well,
It seems to me that you are 'doing good' because you are fearful of the
afterlife consequences of not doing good, rather than doing good for it's own purpose.
That sort of taints the whole purpose of doing good. You are beliving in a god for selfish purposes.. and doing good for selfish purposes.
Demons were mentioned earlier. Man does not need demons to do bad. HOweve, demons are a good excuse to blame something other then himself for the harm he does others.
Get rid of the beleif in demons, and you have to accept the responsiblity for your own actions.
Get rid of the concept of heaven and reward, you can do good for it's own sake, rather than responding to the carrot and stick story.

Re: Any omnipotent being allows evil to exsit
You have to demonstrate that the 'source of all love' is not natural processes design whose biological function is to insure offspring, and the survivial of those offspring with encouraging a stable social environment to live in.
