All the Bible is regarded by believers as factually true, ... All the Bible is regarded by SOME believers as factually true. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

chris simon porteus jr writes: Okay here' evidence for u: The simple fact of how things look the way they do, how humans look like humans and leaves look like leaves is evidence for intelligent design. How do you know how humans are supposed to look? How are leaves supposed to look? You're assuming we all subscribe to an intelligent design theory even while arguing for the intelligent design itself. These are just as easily examples of the evolutionary process as they are for your point. Furthermore, if the human body in what you consider to be its final form were intelligently designed, I would argue that it would be much better off than it is in its current state. There is a lot wrong with us.

quote: I understand that. I don't understand that something can have an inherent form and not have been made or designed. The human in me begs to ask why things have definite forms if there is no creator. It's illogical.
quote: The fact that we're imperfect isn't really good evidenceagainst a design you know? I know this really doesn't matter but I'm curious as to what philosophy you hold true. everything happens for a reason

quote: Snowflakes have an inherent form that required no intelligence to form. It's just the way the molecular bonds form that result in the shapes you see.

Really? So molecular bonds just form that way. It's like a mere coincidence. I choose to look deeper.

Oh, so now you're a chemist.
Do you know what bipolar means? What does it have to do with hydrogen bonding? Tell me why ice is less dense than water even though they have the same chemical properties?

Let's try to make this civil AND constructive.
Quit the inqusition. Quit the "I choose to look deeper" responses. Those who would mentor, mentor. Use kindness and consideration. Those who would learn, listen. Ask questions and take this as an opportunity to use the knowledge being offered to you. Aslan is not a Tame Lion |

Ok on jars wishing i will entertain troy's trivial questions. ice is less dense than water becaue the electrons are moving very slow in the ice right and they're compact right?

I know this really doesn't matter but I'm curious as to what philosophy you hold true. I am an agnostic and a Bright. My truth materializes in science and naturalism. The reason I remain agnostic rather than true atheist is in order to leave myself open to theories of all kinds when concerning pre-singularity histories. My actual area of study is molecular nanotechnology and Seed machines (Artificial Intelligence designed for self-modification, self-understanding and recursive self-improvement), creation and evolution being a hobby of philosophy and science. How about yourself?
The fact that we're imperfect isn't really good evidenceagainst a design you know? Perhaps, but what does such a statement reflect on the designer?

I enjoy prayer more than meditation. I don't meditate it doesnt work for me. I have aspects of a romantic in me. More importantly Im an existentialist but most importantly I'm a truth seeker as all of us here are undoubtedly.

Perhaps, but what does such a statement reflect on the designer? quote: Then why do you make claims about intelligent design being evidenced in nature if you admit that your ability to perceive God is limited?
