Re: The semi-hidden moral reality...
If God has ordained the moral norms, and God is eternal and unchanging, the morals therefore must be unchanging and timeless
why? what reason makes this so? can't god change the moral norms he ordained?
you then contradict yourself with:
All morality comes form God, but God has left the decision about what is moral somewhat up to us
this, then, means that moral norms can change. yet you claimed they were unchanging.
make up your mind.

Re: The semi-hidden moral reality...
not necessarily.
if all is relative, then there is someone who will disagree with the statement that all is relative.
many people think there are absolutes. hence, the statement is true.
oops, so much for the statement being absolute, huh?

Re: The semi-hidden moral reality...
not really any difference between the two.
I know you're wrong. You don't agree.
and we still have relativety. and that statement in and of itself is relative, because someone will disagree.
even the "absolutes" in science aren't, especially if they are right that we actually are but one verse of a multiverse, each with its own set of constants.

Re: The semi-hidden moral reality...
Because if absolutes exist, then it brings into question how that came about and why it is sustained, as its highly indicative of intent, and intent is highly indicative of cognizance
um, no. none of these naturally or logically follow from the previous.
why, if absolutes exist, must their sustained existence indicate intent? and why is intent indicicative of cognizance?
I'm just asking, 'cause you, you didn't qualify any of these. your best link is actually the intent and cognizance, but unless sustained existence of absolutes does indicate intent, the argument still falls.
oh, and liberal nonsense?
"help your fellow man".
liberal. and you call this nonsense? com'on.
not everything we liberals say is nonsense. just like everything you conservatives say isn't nonsense. try listening once in a while. you might just be surprised.
