How long did you work to before you started receiving SS? I can almost guarantee the amount you get from SS is probably more than what you put in, unless you have been working full time for more than 20 years.

Government aid is also working for the good of the country....
I could care less about each individual person. it's for the good of the country to keep the country strong economically and socially.

I think SS also has elements of welfare in it. But one DOES pay into it so it's hard to sort it all out.

YET you implied it right here I'm glad you work part time unlike those lazy people who are getting HUD plus welfare plus assistance with utilities.

I worked full time from 1992 through 2000, making just enough to get by. I then started working at home which never became more than part time. I get 268 a month now plus basic Medicare. About 500 a month from my job.

A "nightmare system" which you are apparently eager to participate in. So long as it benefits you.

Oh honestly you people can hallucinate anything you want, can't you. I was pointing out that I don't get as much welfare as one CAN get. I'm not saying anything against those who do. Most are younger people with children.

Not at all eager, quite reluctant and unhappy about it.
