I'm not too keen on any abortions. It is a poor form of birth control by anyone's standards. The alternative in too many cases is worse is all.
Oddly, there seems to be some correlation between those who oppose abortion and those who oppose sex education. I think there may be not better way to reduce abortions than good sex education.

you know that soon the fetus will do these things
No, as I noted, some significant fraction of them will not. As god seems to will it to be.

I totally agree Ned. NOONE likes the idea of abortion. One of my biggest peeves is people who call the debate pro-life/pro-abortion. I don't know anyone who is "pro-abortion". I am NOT pro-abortion, I am pro-CHOICE. As long as sex-ed is fought, contraception is not readily available and more effective, and as long as medical issues arise that threaten the health of the mother and fetus or the life of the mother, the choice HAS to be available.
The only people who can make the heartwrenching choice to terminate a pregnancy are the prospective parents and their doctor. The government has no business making moral or medical judgements for anyone.

Then on a related note you would agree ? the State of Florida had no extant right to rule on my mental and moral perspective on evolution for the record in 88-75-cp District Court of Seminole County shows that THE STATE OF FLORIDA *actually* tried to use my undergraduate research project in worm snakes AS LEGAL EVIDENCE FOR INVOLUNTARY COMMITTMENT TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL in a state I NEVER lived in! It recorded and on tape. I'll send a cassette to any one who snails me at 228 Linden Ave #B1 Ithaca NY 14850. Indeed this state was attempting to make a "medical" judgement.

Please, legalities are not the issue, common sense would show that destroying a fertilized single cell that will soon turn out to be a human being is killing that soon-to-be human being while it is at it's most helpless state. You are trying to tell me that a fertilized cell is non-existant when abortion comes into play?
Tell ya what. Since you believe that all it takes is a few cells to be human, then surely you won't mind if we collect one or two of your neurons and destroy the rest of your brain? We'll even leave you all your body cells.
If a few cells aren't good enough for you, though, why would they be good enough for anybody else?

You are then:
1) An opponent of the death penalty for any crimes whatsoever.
2) Do not support any military actions at all.
3) Would not support the administration of a pain killer if it may cross over the line and kill a terminally ill patient in extreme pain.
For you have defined all of this as murder.
And, no, stopping an unfertilized ovum from developing into a child isn't "exactly" the same as stopping a fertilized one but it is very close. Why do you draw the line between when the ovum and sperm have joined and when they are simply "good friends". "God" himself sees fit to "murder" about half of all fertilized ova if my memory of spontaneous abortion statistics is correct.
I draw that line because that ovum that is fertilized is the ONLY ONE that will become a human being out of the others. As much as I hate you putting words in my mouth, I agree with what you are saying partially, I think a military shouldn't be needed, and wars shouldn't happen, that isn't how life is. I also agree on what you said on the death penalty, I think they deserve forgiveness, and if they are a threat to others then putting them in prison may be the only other choice. As for the pain killer, I really have not the slightest clue, a lot of people die in pain and that is not fortunate. What could be fortunate is what happens to them after they die...

Thank you, it sounds like you are 'partially' consistent then.
However, you say a military shouldn't be needed. That is not the same as not supporting military actions. Do you consider those actions to be murder too? Your death penalty position is consistent. We'll leave the pain killer one in limbo then.

OH! Why isn't there a notification of that? Is it because he's back to being prophecyexlained?

Nope. He's not back to prophecyexclaimed. I find it awful rude that a notification of this wasn't posted. You get suspended for wanting to use a new name. I could recall some members with multiple screen names. Oh well. I mean you guys are basically replying to a wall as of now because he's gone and noone cared to notify the evc members participating in this thread.

They all look like they are trying to hold back from laughing at the presidents new REDNECK joke. Also the reason they are all bunched together is to keep the public from seeing the president's new confederate flag.

Am I mistaken or is the president mixing religion & state; or is Mr. Bush being vague enough with his "Creator of life" statement so as not to offed anybody?(Yeah right).

GW
My understanding was from the election campaign that GW wanted to have the STATES determine the C&S wall JUST AS NEW ORLEANS LUTHERANS spoke with me- "differently" about evolution teaching. I have not heard (of) any change in Bush's stance since he got into the Whitehouse office.

Re: GW
From what I've seen, Mr. Bush doesn't much change his mind about anything.
