Welcome back Ken.
Hi Ken,
Just a quick word to say welcome back and I hope you are well. I hope we can have many productive discussions in the future.
Good to see you again.

Re: to: Brian, I gots to know
HI Ken,
Did you fail to notice that the Israel Museum concurred with the Professor in our Hittite debate or were you just trying to obscure and sidestep the issue?
Jesus, LOL the museum did not agree with your professor, you need to read things Ken.
There are a couple of reasons why I did not respond. First, you cannot post there so it is unfair of me to carry one whilst you are in exile.
Secondly, I really have to know why the Israel Museum disagrees with your professor. The Museum says that it IS Hittite art, while your expert says it may be Hittie art. So if you are saying it is, then your expert is incorrect.
Also, I see no evidence at all that the Israel Museum says that it is Hittite art, since you nor your source provide any references to support this.
In short, your professor does not know for sure if it is Hittite art or not. If it is Hittite art, then what is it that makes it so?
Also, why do you think there is a relation between Hittite real estate customs and Abraham's deal?
Can you outline what the similarities are?
I really don't think I need to hide behind anyone Ken, on the Jonah thread ALL i did was to offer advice on how to arrange your essay better, I was not trying to disprove anything you had written. Believe me, if I wanted to prove your essay wrong, it would take about two minutes to do so.
So dream on Ken.
I know you cannot read out PM's, if you could you would be surprised what I say about you.
Hopefully you can grow up a little, then you can learn how to construct an argument, then maybe you can be allowed to play with the adults in the grown up forums, then we can discuss your Hittite 'evidence'.
Brian.

Re: To: ALL PROFESSED MATERIALISTS, a compromise
Is this logical?
Materialism is true if horses have four legs
Horses have four legs
Materialism is true
Logic is a great thing, you can have hours of fun with it, and it can ultimatley be a load of bull

Oh I got another one.
All fairytale books begin with the words 'in the beginning'.
The Bible starts with the words' in the beginning'
The Bible is a fairytale book.
Damn it, cannot do the wee 'therefore' symbol
Brian.

Re: to: Brian, I gots to know
Ken you mean you do not know what the real estate transactions of the Hittites are?
It doesn't really surprise me that you continue to make claims in areas where you have no idea what you are talking about.
As for Kitchen, I am very familiar with a lot of his work.
Why are you reading Josh Macdowell? Why dont you read academic literature?
Can I say again, we were not having a debate on the Jonah thread, I was pointing out where you could improve your essay, I had no intention of disproving anything you had written, in fact, you contradicted yourself so much that you disproved yourself many times.
Why would I need to hide behind Asgara's skirt? Am I not a moderator on that forum too Ken?
There was nothng to hide from anyway as I was only trying to help you out.
Ken, I could reopen the Jonah thread myself, but you need to prove to the site owner that you can debate in good faith, this does not include the endless posting of links without any summary of the site.
Finally, I am more than capable of defending myself, even your fellow Christians agreed how poor the essay was.
Anyway, I got a nice chilled San Miguel here, and a very large glass of 25 year old Highland Park, so pull up a chair and have a drink, and stop moaning.
Brian.

Re: to: Brian, I gots to know
1. Who is his source and what does it say?
2. Ken I speak in classrooms five days a week, and two afternoons a week in a university lecture theatre, what is your point?
3. Yes, and you haven't validated a thing in all the time you have been at EvC, you should follow your own advice.
So why do you read Macdowell and not academic literature?
Brian.

Re: To: ALL PROFESSED MATERIALISTS, a compromise
Hiya,
Yes, but that is not how a horse is defined.
Anyway, for my premise to stand, I only need one horse with four legs, when one is found with less than four legs, I can just change my premise, a bit like we have to do when new finds contradict historical theories.
Brian.

Re: to: Brian, I gots to know
Hi,
Could a person read both?
Of course a person could read both, but a sensible person would read something like John Bright's 'A History of Israel' instead of Disney's 'Prince of Egypt.'
I wouldn't say you didn't read both, but understanding any of them, well the jury is still out (like the pun?)
I don't drink wine, I only drink beer and whisky. Wine is made for ladies.
