Thought you and Busy Bob Cornuke might have at least come up with the broken Mark 1 tablets. Or are they still at the factory waiting for the paint to dry?

I would be interested in a response by Brian to my post 316.

1. Do you believe the wheels photographed in the Gulf of Aqaba actually exist at Nuweiba or do you think the video is a fraud? I think that they do exist. How they got there and if they are genuine is another matter.
2. If you believe they exist, why, in all this wide world should they just happen to be found near the other corroborating things relative to the Biblical account We haven’t been given any proof of any other corroborating things.
and what BETTER, explanation could you offer, other than the ridiculous notion that they were scattered across Nuweiba from an ancient ship or the other ridiculous notion that they were prepared and planted by Wyatt? These are both better explanations than the Bible’s version. However, you could find the remains of the entire 18th dynasty down at Aqabah, but it has nothing to do with the Bible’s version of the Exodus. The Sea of reeds was in Egypt, the Bible never even hints at it being Aqabah. Brian.

Travelling at 2km per hour, how far will a group of 2 million people travel if travelling for 30 hours?
Brian.

Hi,
Lets say they are walking on nice smooth tarmac roads, for arguments sake. Brian.

Assume that they are traveling in something approaching a rank formation, say 100 persons wide, and that there is about two meters between each rank. The column then would be about 40,000 meters long or 40 kilometers long. At that rate the group could move one and a half times its length in 30 hours.
That is not very realistic though since it is unlikely that they would move in an organized rank and file, nor does it consider wagons, cattle, sheep, goats, children, supplies or any of the other things involved. In reality, a group that large would be lucky to go more than 10 hours during a 24 hour period. It would be unlikely if it could move half its own length during a day. Aslan is not a Tame Lion

60 kms in 30 hours and the column is 40 kms long, therefore the actual group has only moved 20kms in the first 30 hours because the last row in the column is 40kms behind the first. So, it is only once that entire group has spread to its full length that they can cover the 60kms in 30 hours, and it would take 20 hours for the group to initially spread out. At these dimensions, the group would take 20 hours before the last row left PiRameses, if they went three days into the desert the first row would have to wait another three days for the last row to catch up with them, then the group could worship.
It isnt realistic, as you say, the column couldn't be 100 persons wide as that is far too wide for the southern route out of the city of Rameses. The widest I have seen presented is 10 persons wide, I am sure that was by Van Seters, and John Bright estimates it at 4 persons what he calls 'an old fashioned column of four' although he doesn't give a source for this. At 10 wide the column is 150 miles long, at 4 it is 315! The Israelites would be crossing the Gulf of Aqabah and there would still be more than half of them waiting to get out of Egypt. Funny how these little 'problems' are overlooked by some people. Brian.

Never underestimate HYSTERESIS.
The whole concept is silly. One factor that limits the size of nomadic bands is just that. "How many people can you move as a body during one day?" Aslan is not a Tame Lion

I think that they do exist. How they got there and if they are genuine is another matter. How they got there? To set up a hoax, they had to be prepared, and planted from both east and west shores, including entrance into Saudi waters. How likely is that, given Wyatt's limited resources, Egypt and the Saudis allowing it and the huge task of preparation and planting? Such a project would not go un-noticed. Unless they were planted, they are genuine and the notion they were planted is ludicrous. We haven’t been given any proof of any other corroborating things.
You have been given all that is needed so far as the location description on the West, the in place man made, as well as the mountain, rock and plain on the East. These highly support the Biblical historical acount for the presence the chariot parts.
These are both better explanations than the Bible’s version.
They're both just not feasable. You know it and we all know it.

Or there was almost a 1000 year period when they could have just fallen off some chariot or cart.

The whole concept is silly. One factor that limits the size of nomadic bands is just that. "How many people can you move as a body during one day?" Not silly. These people were in top shape, being hard working brick makers. The quota required by Pharoah likely required the help of the women and children. They were rugged and with the ability to travel day and night could move very quickly. Likely they had no wagons, but beasts of burden. With short rest periods, no problem. Nothing in Scripture states how long it took. As I've shown, the number of encampments is irrevalent as to how many days the journey took, factoring in night travel and relatively short rest stops. The Scripture says they went in haste.

What "huge task" are you talking about ? Planting a few faked chariot wheels, when Wyatt went diving there in the '70s ?
What's so difficult about that ? Come on, at least try to root your objections in reality.
