Christ did not call any part of the OT a myth, fairy tale and He believed and taught the creative act. I missed the parts where he told folks that claim to be his followers to spew venom like a spitting cobra at people that disagree with them, Arch. Can you find that verse for me, since you appear to live by it?

Arch - a direct question
Arch - you claim that it is acceptable for "Christian" parents to withhold medical care from their children and to pray instead. You've been asked multiple times now, and I want to know: is it acceptable for parents to rape their children? Praying while raping would be entirely optional, of course.

because you cannot prove that taking the child to the hospital would have saved his or her life.... But I can damn sure show that treating, say, a diabetic child with insulin gives a better chance of the child reaching adulthood than treating her with prayer. Pray into one hand, and shit into the other, Arch. See which one fills up first.

Re: Just one more thing...
We old geezers remember well when Hodgkin's disease was a death sentence. Not even 50 years ago.... And no, Archie, prayer didn't do anything for it then, either.

as i have said i have known both real faith healers and people who have been really healed. neither briadcast it to the world, but their friends and some acquaintances will know about it and in passing other people who knew of their health problems and see the difference thenask about it. Arch, old bean: anecdotes are not data. Made-up "religious" stories fail to impress me. Especially when you seem unable to even produce the made-up stories!

Re: The Quality of Outrage
Of course, how we are supposed to tell the difference between the genuine honest-to-God God and the fakes, I'm not sure. I know!!! I know!!! Get Archie's opinion, and it will always agree with the Real God (TM)!

the only rule book that comes with kids the majorityof the people of the world reject - the Bible Do you have children, Arch? Did you ever have to have a rebellious son stoned to death? Or a daughter put to death for getting raped somewhere in town?
OF COURSE I reject barbaric insanity like that! I'd still reject it if it came from a secular source! And aside from that, where's chapter and verse on breastfeeding twins, or on changing diapers? Where does the Bible say how much TV a four-year-old should watch? The Bible as a child-rearing "rule book?" Ludicrous.
