relying on God is the only way to go for man cannot stop what God has ordained.
Have you ever used soap to wash your hands? Have you ever drank chlorinated water? Have you ever used a band aid to stop the bleeding? Have ever had dental work done?
God helps those who help themselves.
If God gave you logic and reason you should take note of it.

Hey you guys, Archie may be on to something.
"September 6, 2007More than half of the over 65,000 people who died in Western Canada in 2003—2004 died in a hospital, according to a new report by the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI). In-hospital deaths were more common in Manitoba (68%) and Alberta (65%) than in British Columbia (52%) or Saskatchewan (51%)"

I better put down my vitamins and dust off my bible.

You know Archie you spend so much time in these discussions I would like to suggest that you take half a day and go to your local hospital and watch what the people do there. See if you can find the devil in them.
And by all means pray. Pray as hard as you can.

Re: The Quality of Outrage
i am saying 'ye who are without sin cast the first stone.' you cannot judge, you cannot condemn, you cannot accuse for your own lives are not what they should be to do such actions.
God has already stated what is right or wrong, so you do not need to. it has been done.
What a load of absolute hogwash. Even if my state is fallen, I can recognize the lunatic fringe when I see it and I am obligated by reason to condemn it.
John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Re: The Quality of Outrage
yet 'condemn' does not mean 'to judge'
Correct. The condemnation comes after the judgment.
We condemn mistakes with asperity, where we pass over sins with gentleness.
As we are aware of the importance of insulin to a diabetic child, to withhold it in favour of prayer is negligence. No amount of faith in God can justify ignoring the evident laws of the natural world.
'Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God'

Re: Evolution in action?
Whether that combination of genes results in gullibility or whatever, it is being selected against in the case of faith healing, and reduced slightly in succeeding generations.
The problem with this is that it is less nature and more nurture. You cant entirely blame them if this madness has been drummed into them.

this is a fine line and one has to tread carefully here.
No this is not a fine line. This is a large, tall and robust concrete wall.
