Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God
Muslims believe that eliminating whole towns of sexually promiscuous pagans and thereafter stoning to death a dozen wayward promiscuous girls every year is better than aborting 1.2 million babies annually in America, ignoring the sexual morality which enables teenagers to give birth to a Welfare State that cost $1 Trillion dollars annually now, because of 1.5 million annual illegitimate babies. You can argue either side, 12 girls verses 1.2 million babies plus $1 trillion taxes,... but the OT says better yet, be sexually responsible and moral in not hurting others.

Tyrants have always done that - and their minions have always used it as an excuse for "just following orders".
God is a tyrant, because he is almighty god of the living. Romans 14:11For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. You must be under the liberal illusion that you can avoid reality, which, of course it the father oif Truth before which all men will bow, as this Age comes to fulfillment. The Truth can notbe hidden as in the past, nor clouded over by the ninsense you post, hoping that confusion and semantics can make what is simple so complicated people will be deceived. This is The Information Age, and every jerk with a computer can now research and discover whatis true and what is not.In this Age, people will no longer bow to these attempts you make to confound issues which they can check out easily.

I am of the opinion - illusion or not - that we can and ought to try to change the bad parts of reality. If reality included a tyrannical god then the moral thing to do would be to challenge his tyrany, not kowtow to it. Morality requires trying to do what's right, whether it's possible or not. I agree... The grace of this God is that "he" is rationally understandable. That has alloower man to figure out His Natural Laws and use them to advantage. "He" has a son called Truth, born out of His ever unfolding next frame of existence. As we discover the Facts-of-Life by discerning this Truth, we are able toi develop the amazing technological advantages that are slowly creating the heaven on Earth which we who avoid extinction will be Born Again into.

Ok it's a cheap shot but..... I guess u accept that Bats are birds right?
People who do not read comprehensively, and sckim through the Bible, allowing questions to rise up in their mind, but failing to research the answers will say dumb stuff like you posted. They tend then to deny the wisdom of scripture, and spread those doubts as if they are onto some great insight. If you examine the ancient systems of Animal Taxonomy, you would discover that locomotion, not anatomy, was the way they differentiated and group the animals togethr. Insects, birds, bats, etc are allinluded in the Hebrew word that the KJV Bible interpretors translated as "birds."

It's salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone and the Bible is the sole authority.
?That is just a play on words. Its Christian gooble-de-gook that clouds the FACT, that the Grace of God is Truth. "I am the Truth,"... is the grace of God that saves mankind. Titus 2:11For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

How do u rationalise problems such as those posed by herod/quirinius, and other inaccuracies that make the bible seem man made rather than divinely dictated?
There are no contradictions. First read the text comprehensively like I do.Then double check the definitions of the words which seem unclear in the meaning or context. With whole verses that appear to you as contradiciton, google the verse and read commentary.

I really can't accept that murder is a moral answer ever - as I stated previous I have worked educating people who could be deemed the worst of the worst and I would wish no harm upon any of them (even though I have been sent to the Emergency room several times in my career). Education and sympathy are far more merciful and just routes. I know first hand what it takes to "redeem" someone and threats/warnings are certainly not the way to help or reach anyone. If I were a more simple tribes man maybe I would see things in a more barbaric and simple way - but I'm not a simple tribes man and I'm not an all powerful being...... But I reckon I know better than both. What do you recommend for the victims, in regard to future acts to come to them?

Which Knight showed good morals?
All of them showed "good" morals, i.e.; positive social behaviors. Only the third demonstrated Christian love for his neighbor.

Deuteronomy 12:31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods. Of course man must hate the behaviors of people which work towards extinction of the species in the long run or short, because survival is the very purpose of life: Deuteronomy 12:31Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire (of abortions) to their gods, (Eros, Istar, Ba'al).

I'll see your graph and raise u national statistics,
LOL Your stats show the threat of a lwa that is not enforced. My Stats show the record when EXECUTIONS rise. Note that the rate of murder fell almost in half in Texas after@ ten years of ACTUALLY executing these guys: YEAR 2011 2010 2009 2008 2007 2006 2005 2004 2003 2002 2001 2000 1999 1998 1997 1996 Texas 4.4 4.9 5.4 5.6 5.9 5.9 6.2 6.1 6.4 6 6.2 5.9 6.1 6.8 6.8 7.7The number of executions in Texas number is four times as many as Virginia (the state with the second-highest total of executions in the post-Gregg era).

I would say only the third acted truly morally and he is the atheist in this story (I should know I wrote it)
1) He is a christian whether he admits to it or not, because he loves his neigbor: John 13:34A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 2) Morals are rules for proper conduct, not measuring devices for the intent or motivations of the person obeying them.

Kofh2u: Morals are rules for proper conduct, not measuring devices for the intent or motivations of the person obeying them. Grim: Your definition of morality seems a bit off, lets just clarify terms;Morality - A system of ideas of right and wrong conduct:
?You seem "a little off,"... There is no difference between: "rules for proper conduct" and "a system of ideas of right and wrong conduct." Why people obey the Law is immaterial to the courts that MEASURE who breaks them and who does not. A measure of good citizenship might include the motivation behind obeying rules, perhaps. But your quiz only separated Christians from secular people.

Case 1, Person A gives $100 to charity. Case 2, Person C gives $100 to charity while person G has a gun to his head telling him to give money to charity. The actions are the same but the circumstances are very very different
Yopu are just opinionated and fail to be rational even when you proppse we refer to definitions. You ARE sure that unless the person consciously WANTS to act morally, he isn't being moral. The reason that fathers in a family make a difference between the people who grow up an kill others is because fathers are AUTHORITARIAN, and kids learn to be moral, or else. You ought get OUT of the criminaal justice system because you are soft minded weak hearted lame brain those killers exploit. They get you to like the part of them that is just like moral people, but blind to the responsiblity they have to society to accept their death sentences as they well knew was always the price of murder,... if they got caught. Edited by kofh2u, : No reason given.

Intent is hugely important,
Of course it is.That is the essence of a Christianity that preaches heart not Law. The Christians criticized the Law that the Jews had used to punish those who broke it, paid the fines called "sacrifices" to the priests who benefited, and then went and did the same things again next week. Just like theyoung, single catholics who are sexually promiscuous on friday and saturday nights, go to confession, and do the same thing next week end. But that does not change the Rules/morals. Christ said change your motivations, i.e.; your heart, and you can forget about Laws, because you won't be breaking them anyway.
