Again speaking as a recognized expert, I can state with great confidence that any flavor of afterlife also does not exist, just like your heaven.The afterlife is the hook, the advertised attraction, used to pull in the gullible and the fearful. Once the hook is set then you manipulate the mark by threatening to remove the prize if the ritual is not followed, if the catechism is not recited, if the faith should ever waver, if the offering is too little. The promise of an afterlife is the road to control, power and riches for the charlatan, the priest and the church. The afterlife is a ruse.Again, with great confidence in what the biology, the physics, the chemistry have shown us, the only "after" from your life is oblivion and all the faith in all of heaven and earth cannot change that. Thank you. I appreciate that. Oh, I don't have to show that your favorite flavor of god does not exist. You are the one making the claim that such a thing does exist. The evidentiary burden is on you and your fellow religionists. Thus far you have failed ... completely ... for the last 2000+ years.What the science shows is that a lot of biblical stories and religionists interpretations are demonstrably false. What the science shows is that those assertions held up as proofs of gods are demonstrably false. This doesn't prove the negative but gravely questions all of your unevidenced assertions.This thread is a most excellent example of a foolish religionist trying to assert falsehood as truth and making all religion look foolish in the process.I'll not derail this thread with the operations of synapses, chemical pathways of memory and personality and the functions of structures and areas of the brain. I'll not argue these facts, by the hundreds, evidence of life's processes, against some unevidenced assertion of an eternal soul. I'll not argue the facts of function loss, the cessation of chemical reaction, the quiescence of ion channels and synaptic connections, the evidence of the loss of life function and its demonstrable end of memory, sensation, personality and self, against the assertions of a continuation of life after the total physical destruction of everything that made us who we are without some equal weight of evidence. Something your religion has glaringly failed to do. Your soul and afterlife assertions are based solely upon your wrenching fear of ending. Emotion not rationality.Other than emotional assertions, the wishful thinking of ignorance, you have nothing to evidence your claims. And the demonstrable science, the actual facts, the reality we know around us, most heavily weighs against your insistence. I have a spiritual side. We all do. It is a normal product of the structure of the human brain. The difference between us is I don't build an entire world of fantasy around it. Our technology may not be sufficient today, but anything that manifests in this universe is open to scientific study eventually. If something does not manifest itself in this universe in some way that means it does not have any effect on anything in this universe. You cannot say it actually exists since it can not do anything in this universe.Your chariots are an excellent example. You claim they are supernatural. The "chariots" you point to are, you say, manifestations of this supernatural in our universe. This manifestation can be, and was, studied by science and was found, to no great surprise, to be testable, repeatable and natural in origin, not supernatural in any way.There is nothing in this universe, nor anything outside this universe that manifests some effect in this universe, that science cannot study.
