Were I to label anybody, I would agree that LNA leans toward the type of Marxism that was authoritarian and was not as racist or prejudiced as Western cultures were perceived as. I would suggest that LNA is in favor of free global immigration and would like to see all people everywhere intermingle. The reason that *we* do not want that is because it would bite the hand that feeds us. I freely admit to having issues with Marxism and even socialism unfettered because it would bring me down to the level of ringos darling masses trying to level everything out. Im trying to get LNA to open up, but he likely does not want to do it publicly. He thinks that we, being all Americans, prefer a Western form of government rather than a Socialist one. I agree. This war is sad and I feel for the brave Ukrainians and their brave leader.
Mostly I watch war news on either Al-Jazeera or the BBC. I fear that this conflict will embroil the whole world in one way or another, and I just heard that Shell is apologetic about buying crude oil after the sanctions went into effect and pledge to no longer do it. Putin is being pushed into a corner (of his own making, mind you) and Zelensky addressed the MP in the UK.

If you wanna go there, Hitler would have lost even if Russia never entered the War. It would have taken far longer and cost a mammoth amount of future NATO lives(Europe+USA) but the real reason Hitler lost the war was because of his antisemitism. The Jewish Scientists who escaped Nazi Germany were in large part responsible for the Atomic Bomb, V2 rocket (history of missiles), and jet fighters (which Hitler insisted be bombers, reducing their effectiveness.
That being said, a lot of Russian lives were lost in WWII, and also a lot of German lives could have shored up Normandy and changed the course of history. I won't give Stalin all of the credit.

I worry about whether chemical or biological weapons will be introduced. Russia allowed them in Syria but later distanced themselves from international condemnation.

Trump is itching to become a Western Leader again. I see echos of civil war here, skyhigh inflation, and a bunch of ignorant populists poised to vote for him.

Nothing. I say now, though, that our first priority is to keep Trump out of it. Even if Americans do suffer. I really worry about World War III the more that I read. Unless Putin is right and his own "5th column" takes him out. Isn't it odd how Tzar Vladimir the Condemned sees the obvious and warns Russians to repel it?(see video below) Let's hope that Russia is as ready for democracy as Ukraine was. If the 5th column wins, we may actually get rid of Russias Nukes and a few of our own.

I was born in 1959. I remember Jimmy Carter. I remember Ford and his WIN buttons. I also remember Fed Chairman Paul Volker and how it was only through raising interest rates to 20% that inflation was stopped. Try raising interest rates to even 5% now and watch what happens.

They measure inflation differently now. If the inflation we have now were measured the way it was measured then, our current inflation would approach 18-20%. As for Armageddon, 1980 was neither the time nor place in History for it. I have no idea when it will occur, but we are a lot closer now than we ever were then.
Have you watched the PBS FRONTLINE series about Tsar Vlad The Condemned? They laughed at Hitle too until he nearly wiped us all out. And now we again have the nuclear problem. And a meglomaniac dictator with the ability to use it.

I think LNA trolls us when we get angry at him. The fact that he is a Marxist from way back shows that like Putin, he misses the old WARSAW Pact and the Soviet Union as an alternative to the so-called White People who in his mind are all that NATO is.
