Ok, let me get this straight.
A: God created everything.
B: Everything that god creates, or commands, must be good.
C: I must conclude that there is no such thing as evil.
We know that the conclusion is false because there are clearly evil in the world. Would you like to change your premises?

No, he created that, which by free will, can choose to sin. He doesn't make the decsion to actually sin or not, thats left up to you and me, thats our gift from God.
Understnading what we were created for would help you to see that better.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Galatians 6
14May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which[1] the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. 15Neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. 16Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule, even to the Israel of God.

My interpretation of the passages is that we were created in order to make the choice to be saved.
Sounds kind of evil in itself to me, since that means God intentionally creates many that will NOT be saved and will suffer eternal damnation. One who intentionally creates a system that guarantees the eternal suffering of countless souls is the definition of evil.

Just how is it guaranteed? #1
#2:
John 3
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[1] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The way I read that passage, the perish means not to exist anymore, thats not suffering.
#3 Who am I to even try to judge what will happen to others when they die? Everyone goes through life a little differently, and I will never understand what another person goes through, only him and God will.
So the way I see it for me is, that God gave me a gift of life, that was good. Then he gave me a chance to believe in his son, and I do. Thats the second gift. I am up 2-0. Once I achieve eternal life, it will be 3-0. I try my best to give back to God with every breath I take, but I am only human, and subject to the world around me, and the strongholds within my flesh. I am constantly working on it though, I feel I have come a long way, and understand God's purpose for me.
I also have noticed that the bad that happens to me (not others around me) is a direct corrolation to the amount of sin I commit. Also the amount of faith I have. So its my choice of sin that brings evil to my door, and gives legal contract to the devil to mess with me. So God isn't really to blame for anything bad in my life. If something bad happens to the one I love, that is between that person and God. But that person brings it on themself, so I have them to blame for hurting me if something happens to them. These are my humble observations, and it took years to see it.
The good is in our hearts, we just have to access it, by doing understanding God's will for us.
Now I sound like a crazy Christian, lol, its official.

Hey riVeRraT, thanks for you comments
I agree with you about sin not being made by God, but being made possible by God, and humans making the choice through free will to commit sin. However, I disagree with some of your other comments:
The way I read that passage, the perish means not to exist anymore, thats not suffering.
Other Bible passages make it clear that to perish does not mean to be annihilated (cease to exist), it means to go to hell.
I also have noticed that the bad that happens to me (not others around me) is a direct corrolation to the amount of sin I commit.
Careful here - remember Job? While sin in some cases may cause bad things, bad things happening are not automatically the consequences of sin.

If you say there no absolutes, I ask you, are you absolutely sure?

2 very good points.
Could you point me to those passages about perishing. A friend and I were trying to figure that out.
Then about Job, I totally understand, but that was a distinct time in is life where the devil and God were taking "bets" with him to test his righteousness. I am sure I will go through something like that also, but for the time being I have noticed this corrolation taking place. I guess it's me paying for my sins? I have also sinned so much in my life that I would expect the worst for myself. I don't know, God will judge me based on what I went through.
Job ended up being a big winner in the end, so even though the bad came first, it was followed by a tremenous amount of good to him. He got extra blessings, a direct corrolation based on what he went through, and how his faith held up.

But your comments (as other have said) - answer the questions for us.
Let's make this real simple - does God Create everything or not?
IF he creates everything he creates evil.

Master thespian, brilliant!
Think about it for awhile, and really ask yourself what is evil, and who is responsible for it.
Also, answer this, do you like your life?

According to Dictionary.com, evil is:
quote:
The quality of being morally bad or wrong; wickedness.
That which causes harm, misfortune, or destruction: a leader's power to do both good and evil.
An evil force, power, or personification.
Something that is a cause or source of suffering, injury, or destruction: the social evils of poverty and injustice.

Well from what you have said here - It has to be God.
quote:

Well let's think about this -
Good job (pays well, hours good)
Nice house(s)
Loving family
Good Friends
Happy with the direction in which my life is going.
so no I don't like my life - I LOVE my life.
and the point of this question was? (it's not the lead into some christian scare tactics is it? I've heard them from bigger and better thanks).
