"The Washington State Fairies"
But wait:
1. Jesus was probably gay.
2. Muhammad might have been gay, too.
3. Buddha was straight, though, according to Hesse’s Siddhartha.
4. Don’t know about Shiva or Hara Krishna.
5. I know for sure that Popeye is straight, and so is Olive Oyle. Snoopy is straight, too, but Charlie Brown is questionable. Lucy might be a lesbian, though. She has hard enough edge on her.
Come on, you guy! Isn't this whole gay thing just a little over the top? From where I stand, out here in the Northwest, gays are accorded all sorts of kindness and respect. Recently, a bunch a gays held a demonstration aboard the Bainbridge Is. ferry. They carried signs reading "Washington State Fairies Cruise The Straights." They went around and kissed each other in front of the homebound commuters, who were mildly entertained and not even hostile toward them. I asked a couple of kissers if they intended to have children. One of them stuck his hand in the other's pants and said: "If Ronnie has the balls for it."
We're very evolve out here.

Yep. You saw some dudes kiss, and not get beaten down. As a result, no one has ever killed a homosexual for being gay. Ever. For instance, Matthew Shepherd? The liberal media won't tell you that he was really tied to a fence post, slathered with kisses, and then set free. He's now alive and well, and, ironically enough, the manager of a Dairy Queen.
People get murdered for a lot bad reasons, not just for being gay. (I liked the Dairy Queen part, though.)

Gosh, maybe I should become gay. I might get more respect around here. OK, I'm gay. Feels good. I'm going out and kiss the first Washington State fairy I can find.

Well, I'm certainly not in favor of slavery, but I don't think "equality" is the natural order of anything. Nature is NOT fair, NOT a democracy. In fact, slavery is quite a natural thing in many insect colonies, if you call capturing other bugs alive and forcing them into domestic servatude, sometime even making them feed the larvae with their own bodies.

And then there was the "King of Peace" who said in Matthew 10:34-36:
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

The modernity of gay "marriage"
Back on topic. I am gradually coming around to the idea that homosexuality is a natural thing for humans and other animals”don't know about plants, fungi, and protists, though. I do take notice however that male E. coli bacteria have sex only with their female counterparts. This is a great relief for me to know that gay microbes are not screwing around down there in my intestines.
Gay sex in humans certainly does have a long and enduring history. Will Durant points out, for example, that Alexander the Great was known to often dismiss the young boys sent into his tent for after-battle pleasure; instead he often preferred young girls. More recently, a Greek friend of mine told me his grandfather preferred young boys to women when he went out on his wife. My friend said there was nothing strange about it in Greek culture, and that his grandfather was otherwise quite straight. So you don't need to go back many generations to find culturally tolerated sexual aberrations. But you can't find ANY evidence in history that Greeks or anyone else actually MARRIED those boys who bent over for their pleasure. I also take notice that no shepherd is on record for wanting to to marry his sheep, either.
From an historical perspective gay acts are plentiful, while gay marriage is nonexistent. This issue of gay marriage is entirely a new thing, designed artificially to kick open that closet door.

Er, as I understand it, bacteria are not gendered.
Nor do they have sex.
Most bacteria are indeed genderized. And they have sex with their opposites, too. Try Googling "bacterial sex" and see for yourself. There are many good photographs of male E.coli scoring on females. A score is when he shoots out his papilla and it hits her in the sweet spot.

No, most bacteria replicate through assexual cell division.
Oh, but they conjugate, too, which probably feels a lot better.

Hold on. Do I have to be accused of being a Christian to disagree with this idea that homosexuality is restricted to adults? At what age does gay-ness set in? 18? 21? I thought gays were born that way, no choice at all.

Also, much like your little adventures, bacterial conjugation is not a form of sexual reproduction because gametes are not fused to form a zygote. Rather, bacterial conjugation simply represents an exchange of donor mobile plasmids between individuals. No new individuals are created.
You're entirely right. But would you mind showing me where I said it was "a form sexual reproduction."
