Nor the fact that the black mayor of Baltimore was appalled at the smell of the rats there. Well that's just another of those unsubstantiated accusations trying to hold Trump responsible when he's not. The government of the city is responsible for the conditions in that district and they've received billions of dollars in aid to fix it, so where did those billions go? Obviously not to fixing the problem.

He represents the people of Baltimore and therefore has responsibility for what happens there. He was at least part of the state government because he was asking for federal aid for this very problem back in 1999. Trump identified him as responsible for the conditions of Baltimore NOW and nobody has argued against that.

If Trump is responsible then he is exercising his responsibility by calling the immediately responsible politicians to do their duty.

OK I finally read the whole thing.And I note two major points: This is discussion of aid given OVER THE LAST TWO YEARS. But this problem has gone on since Cummings noted it back in 1999 and there is not a single hint as to how the money given over all those years was allotted or used, and the evidence appears to be that it didn't do even a bit of good for the problem we are discussing. A couple years ago at least is when the then mayor of Baltimore visited the area and was offended by the stench of dead rats, not to mention living rats and piles of trash.The second point is that of course no reason is given for WHY Trump wants to end the program for the neighborhoods. We're just supposed to feel "Well of course, that's Trump always doing what he can to hurt poor people." Um, I don't suppose you recall that Cummings had first insulted Trump about his immigration views. And let me get this straight: you all can insult Trump day in and day out, hour in and hour out, but Trump can't say something insulting ever even when it's about a real problem that is a crying need for reform? AND ONCE AGAIN NOW, Cummings himself called that district of Baltimore "drug-infested" and described its residents as walking around like "zombies" all the way back in 1999. Na, that doesn't matter, does it? Nothing EVER matters except when Trump says something, anything, that y'all think you can spin into a blot on his charcter even if everybody else in the world and all the liberals combined, have said the same exact thing.
