remember they could listen to God's voice who they knew was boss or satans , they chose satan,
Wait, I thought that Satan was Lucifer, the fallen angel.
Isn't the serpent in eden just a particularly cunning creature, presumably created that way by God?
The punishment for the serpent was to crawl on it's belly and eat dirt, not to live in Hell, as Lucifer/Satan does.
At least, that's what it says in the Bible, doesn't it Mike?

Yes God does not tempt, only satan, therefore we can conclude by your own logic the serpant was satan.
Then who is Lucifer, the fallen angel?

'Can you deny that these words exist in Genesis, "..for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die"?'
We are all dying this minute, our bodies age and die every day...
Mike, you are interpreting here.
...which is fine, of course, but if you interpret the Bible to suit yourself here, instead of taking what is written more at face value as we are, then that just means that you just pick and choose what you want to take literally and what you want to interpret.
So, that simply means, at the end of the day, that anything in the Bible can be interpreted to suit anybody.
