Biblical contradictions II

The way I've heard it, in Jewish belief Saan is opposed to Man, not God. If I remember correctly one way it was expressed was that Satan was the angel who reminded God of the faults of Man. Another compared him to a "prosecuting attorney"

So far as I can see the 2 Corinthians reference says no more than Genesis 3:13. It really doesn't support the view that the serpent is Satan.As for the Revelation the authorship is very much in doubt - I think the general view is that it is not by the Gospel author, so I am not sure why you say that the author was Jewish.

What I find interesting, Mike, is that you disagree with the very verse that you quote:"And the Lord God said, behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil."It explicitly states that God said that Adam and Eve had become like God exactly as the serpent said ("ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" - Genesis 3:5)

Mike did you actually read the post you replied to ?Did you even read the verses you quoted ?It explicitly states that God said that Adam and Eve HAD become "as God", in exactly the way that the serpent said.So why did you say that Adam and Eve did not become as God ? Was God wrong ? Or is Genesis wrong about what God said ?I didn't miss the point - you are just ignoring the plain meaning of the text even when it is pointed out to you.

I don't know what you are talking about. How did you correct me about the "Tree of Life" . Are you sure that you aren't the one "getting pissed" because you obviously aren't taking to read even the short posts I've been writinh.As you agree "God said they have become like one of us, KNOWING GOOD AND EVIL"Which is exactly what the serpent said - as I have already shown - and directly contradicts your claim that Adam and Eve did not becoem God.

OK, I was typing quickly and left out 'like' in my last post. I'll admit to that error.But knowing "good and evil" is exactly how the serpent SAID they would be like God - I even quoted the verse, Genesis 3:5.Here it is again in the NIV translation:
"For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and
you will be like God, knowing good and evil."So far rather than accept that - after I proved it - you've claimed that I was "pissed" over something that never happened, and now you are calling me "petty".The point is that what you said wasn't true - and can easily be seen not to be true. And you're the one who's blowing things up by refusing to accept that fact, even after being proven wrong.I thought you weren't as bad as many creationists but this "let's ignore the Bible and assume it says what I want" is all too typical.

Well since he doesn't want women to take their traditional role of managing the home, I assume he means that they should be sent out to work.
