Mankind was told to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth. I don't find where that was changed.
But there are a lot of other thing we are told to do that we don't do.
We are told to love the Lord thy God with all our mind, body, and spirit.
We are told to love our neighbor as much as we love ourselves.
If everybody obeyed those two orders there would be no problems in the world.
We do a lot of things God did not authorize and very few things He did authorize.
