The fact is there is no accepted number of races. Science, curiously, does not define race. There is no accepted scientific definition of race, so I will heartily second your claim.
Abe} What "race"are my daughters? Their mother is a mix of Korean & JapaneseI Am a mixture of Alpine White & Native American It's intersting. Before the advent of modern travel, people evolved very distinct features due to isolation. More and more races are becoming assimilated so that there is no "pure race." And really, the concept of a pure race leads to the same dampening of a gene pool like purebreed dogs. Mutts are generally much more healthy and less prone to poor genes. I wonder if we could conclude the same with humans. "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from mistaken conviction." — Blaise Pascal

I am probably racist when it comes to muslims... "Muslims" is (or are) not a race! Religious belief does not constitute scientific evidence, nor does it convey scientific knowledge.

It would be better to hate the actions, not the persons. we all have a belief that another person may not agree with. I agree, but much of the problem is that the most vocal members of any group tends to agree with what the perceived ideology, preferences & persuasions that the the group is alleged to have.Obviously one does not hear a quiet Fundie, Fascist, Communist, White, Black, Agnostic, Atheist, Evolutionist, Car Salesman, etc. Just the vocal who tend to be radical in their views. Could you please stop talking? You started out denying you're a racist. Then you began sarcastically admitting you're a racist. Now, you're inadvertently confirming you're a racist. Part of being a racist is you can't tell the difference between different individuals, different groups, and different societies because they share a physical or geographical background. I am probably racist when it comes to muslims, especially after 911... I get embarrassed everytime I see someone inadvertently admit that they thought all East Asian people speak the same language. I have to explain to them that the difference between Chinese and Vietnamese is like the difference between English and Italian. Hell, even the Chinese themselves don't have just a single language. There are over 1000+ dialects in China. The word dialect is misleading, because they are actually totally different languages. That's what you're doing. The more you talk, the more you inadvertently show your bigotry. I'm a racist, too. I was raised that way. My father will deny up and down that he is racist, but every time he opens his mouth to talk about politics or whatever, you will definitely hear "the blacks are taking over" or "the latinos are taking over" somewhere in his speech. When pressed, he can't tell you what he dislikes about Obama policies. His excuse used to be "I heard he's a muslim..." Nowadays, he just regurgitates what Glen Beck says. The first step towards any recovery is to truly be honest with yourself. Denying it won't do it. Sarcastically admitting it won't do it either.

They don't, they call themselves nigg(as)...totally different. Quick answer, because white people are scared of black people and how they'll react - not that you are, but that's the reason it is now taboo to say it openly. It's masked under the PC reasons for not saying it, but it boils down to white people being scared of black people.
Ok, what I meant was why would black people get offended if I called them "niggers", or even "niggas" for that matter? They call themselves that all the time. Not that I fucking care how people label themselves, but if I refer myself as a lazy ass "limburger" (this is a stereotype in my country, and I do refer to myself as that, even though it's not true...well mostly ), why would I get offended if anyone else referred to me like that?
Midget, chink, spic, cunt, and any other word is used normally, except for nigger, because no one is scared of the reaction they'll get from midgets.
I'd be scared of that, did you notice their height? They'll headbut you straight in the dangly bits.

Christ she is so hot!
Quite. I'd bang her. And then, when she's asleep after two days and nights of hot passionate love, I'd go search her house for that Jew gold.

Its not so hard to understand the concept that it is a double standard... I think the question is more: Why the double standard? Wait.... what do you mean you people!?

Seems like people should stop acting like the world is against them, or something. Unless of course it clearly is used in such a way. Why always assume the worst?
Because a term used by a member of the group that it is an insult against carries a different tone than it being used by a member outside of that group. In the former case, it is an indicator of "we." In the latter case, it is an indicator of "you" (or "they"). When someone in the group uses it, the trust dynamic is that it most likely isn't being used in a derogatory fashion. When someone outside the group uses it, the trust dynamic is that it is most likely is being used in a derogatory fashion. It's the same concept regarding terms of familiarity. The terms of endearment that your beloved can get away with calling you don't mean the same when coming from someone else.
It could mean the same, maybe the other person feels the same way about me as my girlfriend.
They tend to be regarded as sarcastic and/or condescending.
They could be. People should just relax about this stuff, I say. But I see your point.
When your beloved says, "Sweetie, honey, baby, pussycat," it doesn't mean the same thing as when the used car salesmen lets loose with that phrase.
Well, maybe not in your case, I'm fucking sexy yo! Great big belly and everything, a whole lotta love!
This is more easily seen in languages that have the formal and familiar versions of "you." The use of the familiar implies a social relationship. To get away with using "nigger" requires that a social background must be established to support the use of the word. It is difficult for someone outside the group to demonstrate that social background in general.
Hmm, yes. I think people should lighten up, in general. I also realize that due to the fact that most people think they're oh so important and special, that's not likely going to happen. Doesn't mean I'll stop crusading against it though. But point taken. People are prissy little bitches that should grow a pair and so assume the worst intentions of their fellow man. Nice. This all reminds me of a sketch by Chris Rock. I wanna meet the first white guy that has the balls to do this sketch:

It would be hard to explain the difference in modern, American vernacular to a foreigner, but suffice it to say there is a sociological difference. One is considered derrogatory, the other has many meanings, some that are good. It's weird, and very difficult to explain. There are subtle rules of etiquette when using the slang word nigga . Timing, audience, and delivery are critical in understanding the (in)appropriateness .
Because if you're not black then you aren't in the inner circle. There is a sense of entitlement to it. And some non-black people do get to say it, but again, it has to do with timing, delivery, and audience.
I don't know the etiquette in Holland, so it's hard to say. I mean, it's like anything else. You could have one black guy who could care less that you said nigga in an amusing way, or nigger for that matter. Context is going to matter alot. If you walked up some random black guy and said, "What up, my nigga?!?!," you might get punched in the face or at least looked at strange. If you said it to your black friend, he might not care because he knows you and knows you don't mean it in a derrogatory way. And then some get pissed off because they have a bullshit sense of self-entitlement, no matter if you meant it playfully or not.

I know a lot of mexicans, and some of them are gangsters... they call each other nigga all the time. I had a black guy call me nigga one time... I replied: Hey! You can't call me that word!.. then we both chuckled and he said: "Awe shit, my bad".
Watch, Rrhain is going to burst in here crying in about two seconds because he can't differentiate between a joke and seriousness. He would actually think that the joke could cause real harm to the treatment of good jewish folk, just like he thinks that the Homeless Charlie bit has real reprocussions for the they way that women are treated. That's why he wants to get into a detailed analysis of the joke. How about this one though:

Would you mind explaining this to me, being a non native English speaker and all? To the best of my knowledge and how I experienced it: I grew up saying 'nigga', like CS said about mexicans using the word, hispanics in Miami use the word in the same sense black people use it. It means bro or dude, or something like that. "Nigger" is the derogatory word used by slave owners. Black people, in an effort to take away the power of the word and how it was used by white slave owners, began to use it themselves. In other words, how can you insult me calling me a nigger when we use that word to mean bro or dude (or something like that)...? They took the power that word had away from it by using it themselves. Also, they use a slight different word: nigga' In fact, a black person will insult another black person by calling them a nigg(er), it is offensive if used toward one another. I've seen it, and heard it, used by black friends when insulting a black person, or someone who acts like a thugged-out idiot. I've even heard it used to describe a person of a different race, but who acting like a thugged-out idiot. White people call the shitty members of their race "white trash," black people still refer to the shitty members of their race as "niggers." They also refer to anyone of any race who is the shitty member of that race as a nigger, in the same sense as a white person would call them "trash." Like the video you posted of Rock, there's "niggers" and there are black people. Think of that in the same sense as there's white people and then there's white trash. But separate from that completely is nigga, which simply means bro or dude. Example "Wud up, nigga?" "Yo this nigga is acting stupid" "Did you see where that nigga went?" - as you can see, you can replace the word 'nigga' with 'dude or 'bro' in any one of those sentences. That's ebonics 101. Lol Or maybe young Lyx can help?
Ok, what I meant was why would black people get offended if I called them "niggers", or even "niggas" for that matter? Yes, white people have no rights to that word anymore. That was the objective of them using it, you no longer have rights to it. Now, if you'd like to explain that you're from another country and have heard it in movies and don't really know the history of the word and were using it in a friendly manner, be my guest. But black people hit harder than midgets. In their eyes, white people own everything, they got a word. They're holding on to that word and you can't have it back.
I'd be scared of that, did you notice their height? They'll headbut you straight in the dangly bits. True. My friend does a bit about being attacked by midgets. He says after they beat you up they carry you away like ants with a ham sandwich. Lol

Quite. I'd bang her. And then, when she's asleep after two days and nights of hot passionate love, I'd go search her house for that Jew gold. If a nigga didn't steal it already. - Oni

It's not a double standard. There are certain privileges to being in a group of any kind. Your dad has the privilege to call you son, but any other person who uses that word to you would either mean they're much older than you or they're using it as a derogatory term. Its not so hard to understand the concept that it is a double standard... I think the question is more: Why the double standard? I often jokingly say "make me a sandwich, woman" or "make me a sandwich, you whore" to my wife. And she'd respond with "make it yourself, you skank." This does not mean that you won't get a black eye if you ever call my wife a "whore". Black people have made it abundantly clear that the rest of us do not have the privilege to call any of them a "nigger" or "nigga".
Wait.... what do you mean you people!?
I meant exactly that, you cracker.
