It should be pointed out that an earlier generation of Asian immigrants was also relegated to menial labour, mostly on the railroads. Who's to say that a century from now the Hispanic people won't be stereotyped as "good at math"? And who's to say that black people won't be stereotyped as loving salad? These "characteristics" are all social and historical, not inherently "racial".

I am a plumber. There is two sides to that coin. Plenty of mechanics out there who find problems when there is none, and charge you for it. Those are the dishonest ones, like some people here. I want the honest plumber, who knows what he is doing, and only finds problems when one actually exists. Then fixes it for the right price.
There may be two sides to the coin but you only answered the one I didn't ask. Here it is again: Would you rather hire a plumber who looks for a problem or one who doesn't?

There you go again, Mr. Perfect. If your answer was so good, you could have just repeated it. That would make me look like a fool instead of you. You know, I've had misunderstandings with people too, sometimes right on this forum. You know how I handle them? If somebody tells me, "You said X, Y and Z and that offends me," I don't tell them that they're wrong and that they have no right to be offended. I don't tell them I'm not a bigot. I try to figure out why I might seem to be a bigot. I tell them that I didn't mean to offend anybody and I try to figure out exactly what wording it was that caused offense. Then I rephrase what I said in another way to try to get my meaning across without causing misunderstanding or offense. That procedure should fall under "all I really need to know I learned in kindergarten". It's pretty embarassing that a grown man doesn't understand it. Bullshit. Your standard response is, "I already answered that." Nobody should ever have to ask you where your answer is.

As of late, with certain people only. DBlevins and I in the UFO thread just had a conversation where I reexplained myself for him, and he got it.
What part of "nobody" did you misunderstand?
