If it can be, how can the "Absence of Evidence" be "Evidence of Absence?".

Hi Bluescat. The meaning of the name, Jehovah implies the existing god. Jehovah's scriptures depict him as the only existing true god.The evidence I apply contrary to other gods is somewhat like the evidence Elijah displayed relative to King Ahab and the false god, Baal, etc. Elijah called upon Jehovah for a display of his power to burn up the wet sacrificial alter, sacrifice and even the water in the moat.I cannot come near to matching that nature of evidence but I have cited remarkable fulfilled prophecies of Biblical scriptures, archeological evidence, experience and much more over the years which convince me that Jehovah's scriptures are reliable when they claim that Jehovah exists as the only true god.That does not mean I can convince you or anyone else of what I have found to be factual, though over the years I have conviced some by God's help to become believers. This is something which you would need to research and experience on the level that I have for you to be as convinced as I have become. The more I have searched over the past 64 years, since conversion, the more solidly convinced I become. I'm just telling you what has made me a very confident adherant to Christianity and the Biblical scriptures. I have accumulated so much evidence that nothing, so far, has even come close to disuading me from this.So the absense of evidence for false gods = evidence of the absense of any gods for which there is no evidence. Thus by process of elimination, the existing observable and experiential evidence for the one true god, Jehovah, convinces me that Jehovah's scriptures which declare him as the only existing true god are reliable.
