Escalation
I think if you'd really track the events of recent history as I've laid them out above, you'd see a definite escalation.
It is possible that you are correct. But I'd need to see some pretty detailed statistics before I accepted any such thing.
If it is happening I would attribute it to the fact that "christians" are finally losing their hold on power and with it there ability to persecute others. Having the power to extend your beliefs and bigotry into others lives wrenched away from you must seen very much like persecution to you.
Too bad. Learn to share nicely.
