Against most of the Arab world?
This is a bit misleading. A good history of the blow-by-blow action in the 67 War shows that the majority of the "Arab world" either held back, provided purely token forces, or didn't particularly want to fight in the first place. Of the primary belligerants (Syria, Egypt, and Jordan), only the Egyptians were seriously engaged in the beginning. This allowed the Israelis to take advantage of interior lines and concentrate first against Egypt, secondly against Jordan's very weak (if highly professional) forces, then - after the first ceasefire was to take effect! - against Syria. Most of the victory can be attributed IMO to the efforts of the Israeli Air Force (destroying a good fraction of Egypt's Air Force in the initial strikes) and the disharmony of the Arabs. Heck, the only thing Syria did was to shell settlements for four days. In fact, this was what caused such severe strains between Egypt and Syria - Nasser considered himself betrayed. So much for facing the entire power of the Arabs. The David and Goliath thing is an artifact of Israeli propaganda, not history.
So yeah, I'll think what I will, because what I think is based on the actual history of the war.
