Hi, this was from me:
Israel has never and will never inhabit the land promised to them by God, from the Nile to the Euphrates no less, care to explain how that little gem hasn't worked out?
It is found in Genesis 15:18:
On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, "To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates
This is a failed prophecy, or do you want to give it another few thousand years?
The thing is about prophecy it isnt about predicting anything, it is simply speaking words for God, a prophet is a proclaimer, not a predictor.
Another point is that a prophecy really should take place within the prophet's lifetime, otherwise how does the community recognise a false prophet?
One of the criteria for recognising a true prophet was that his words should come to pass, also he/she has to prophesise in YHWH's name. A prophecy that will happen thousands of years after the entire population of the time is dead is pointless. Why does God want to give a message to a community that will not be around to witness its passing, be honest with yourself.
Also, how do you know that Jesus wasn't lying when he prophesised this, God sends false prophest to test his people. Also God can tell a lie to a prophet to test his people, and then there's the added problem of the prophet who speaks presumptuously. A prophet can have the words of God and add some of his own which do not come to pass.
On the face of it, in comparison with some of Jeremiah's prophecies or Isaiah's, Jesus' prophecies are abysmal, I really think we need to put him in the false prophet category.
