Do you know the definition of pedophilia? Does it involve two consenting adults?

Faith writes: How could it have been HISTORICALLY OK for the Israelites to have many wives if it was not OK with God? What kind of nonsense is that? Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot that only Israelites existed in the world ever...they were never you know fighting any other cultures or anything like that.....Wait,.....WHAT?!?!?!?! I said historically...To understand that argument, you have to look at all of history, not just the Israelites. The theory of evolution by cumulative natural selection is the only theory we know of that is in principle capable of explaining the existence of organized complexity. - Richard Dawkins Creationists make it sound as though a 'theory' is something you dreamt up after being drunk all night. - Issac Asimov If you removed all the arteries, veins, & capillaries from a person’s body, and tied them end-to-endthe person will die. - Neil Degrasse Tyson What would Buddha do? WHo has used that term? You have. You have placed ALL sexual orientations in the same category when they are clearly not. The only person here using it in a weasely fashion is Faith. You are again showing your true lying, hateful nature.

AIDS is overwhelmingly the disease of homosexuality though Political Correctness requires that not be recognized. And homosexuality IS an aberration as clearly the two sexes were designed to fit together. Denying the obvious is necessary to keep up the fiction of homosexuality as a mere sexual preference. Let's try again. AIDS is an STI that affects people of all sexualities. Just over half of new cases of HIV infection in the States are reported to be suffered by men who have sex with men, and this is for a number of reasons. But (a) just over half is not "overwhelmingly" - it is just over half; (b) I note that you continue to ignore lesbians, who represent the sexual demographic which suffers least from AIDS; and (c) what the hell difference does it make to gay people's right to get married that male gay people suffer disproportionately from an STI ? And whilst animals and humans have evolved (you'd say they were designed) so that male and female versions fit together nicely for reproduction, we're not talking about reproduction. We're talking about two consenting adults who love each other and love doing really fun things with each other regardless of reproductive fit. Sex is a whole heap of fun even without that reproductive fit ! (And again, using your logic there, you are obliged to condemn oral sex between a man and a woman to exactly the same degree as you condemn homosexuality, because the mouth wasn't designed to do that. If you take that line, then I'm guessing you'll lose a good proportion of what little audience you have).Could there be any greater conceit, than for someone to believe that the universe has to be simple enough for them to be able to understand it ?

Her audience gets married at 14, sleeps in separate beds for their whole lives, the woman does what the man says for fear of getting slapped or beaten, they only "know" each other for the sole purpose of placing a baby in her wretched fallen womb, woman cooks and cleans and the man goes to work. Mommy does ALL the child rearing and makes the kid fear getting beat by dad. Leave it to Beaver is viewed as a documentary by them. So yea, her audience doesn't care about not getting glorious blowjobs."Science is interesting, and if you don't agree you can fuck off." -Dawkins

Hi Faith. I'm sorry, but you said something that's blatantly factually incorrect that touches on my own personal experiences, and I have to call you out on it.
AIDS is overwhelmingly the disease of homosexuality though Political Correctness requires that not be recognized. HIV/AIDS is not at all "overwhelmingly the disease of homosexuality." Not even remotely. The vast, vast majority of cases of HIV/AIDS are heterosexual. No, I don't mean when a bisexual person contracts HIV with a homosexual partner and then spreads it through heterosexual intercourse to another partner. I mean simple, straight sex. I dated a girl with HIV for several years. Lived with her. I'm heterosexual. She contracted it from a heterosexual partner who didn't know he was infected. They usually used condoms...but not always. See, most people just assume that they don't have HIV. Most people even think exactly what you just said: that HIV/AIDS is a problem for homosexuals, but heterosexuals don't get it very often. That attitude is directly responsible, coupled with the lack of safe sex practices (including the results of abstinence-only education, like "anal doesn't count" without a condom...), for a new surge in HIV infection rates. No, I'm not HIV-positive. Yes, I've been tested. See, my ex and I used condoms. Through my ex I heard many stories from the HIV-positive community. Interestingly enough, not one of the anecdotes she shared was from a homosexual individual. Every last one was heterosexual. One contracted the virus from his wife, who cheated on him with another man. One was infected by a tainted blood transfusion after a car accident in another country. HIV/AIDS today is on an upswing in the US. But it's even worse in Africa... ...in countries that have an even lower tolerance for homosexuality than you do yourself. There are literally millions of HIV/AIDS patients in various nations of Africa, and damned near all of them are heterosexual. HIV/AIDS is a disease of unprotected sex, and not at all even remotely a disease of homosexuality. You're wrong. You're more than just wrong - you're wrong in a way that actually promotes the spread of the disease by falsely associating HIV with gays, leading heterosexuals to ignore the problem and unknowingly spread it themselves. I'd like you to retract your statement and apologize. If you're unconvinced as to your wrongness, I can easily begin providing large amounts of data to prove my case - simply let me know what you would find convincing. But you must acknowledge the reality of HIV/AIDS infection, that sexual orientation is incidental, that it is unprotected sex, and not simply same-sex intercourse, that spreads the disease. To fail to acknowledge these facts makes you complicit in the spread of a lethal disease. The human understanding when it has once adopted an opinion (either as being the received opinion or as being agreeable to itself) draws all things else to support and agree with it. - Francis Bacon "There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. I think you've confused Faith with someone who is persuaded by facts.

Well, I think that this is a big sign of the changing times in this country...shows something that Faith will just have to get used to, Equal treatment for everyone.
Pennsylvania's Attorney General Won't Fight Gay Marriage Lawsuit She quotes the Pennsylvania Constitution as banning discrimination against any individual because of race, religion, and ethnic origin and that it is time for the state of Pennsylvania to end another form of discrimination. V/AIDS is not at all "overwhelmingly the disease of homosexuality." I think Faith is confusing the early ideas of what HIV was when it was Gay-Related Immune Deficiency, and is holding on to that idea for dear life even though it was discovered that it was completely mislabeled and changed it to Human Immune Deficiency. Because Faith is fucked in the head.
d like you to retract your statement and apologize. Be reasonable...

quote: I think that it is more accurate to call it an African disease.
quote: That's where it started to spread in the U.S. It STARTED in Africa. The majority of those infected with HIV live in Sub-Saharan Africa. According to the statistics I've seen it seems that worldwide transmission is more often by heterosexual contact (it's different different in the U.S.) So it seems far more reasonable to call it an African disease. Oddly I don't see you calling for an end to marriage in sub-Saharan Africa. Oh, but then HIV infection isn't even a relevant point is it ? So why keep going on about it ?

The homosexual link is a myth, at least so far as today is concerned. This thread ought to be good evidence for why the Golden Rule is useless: who in their right mind wants to be treated the way Faith wants to be treated? No, instead we ought live by the Platinum Rule: treat others the way they wish to be treated. This way, you have to actually get to know someone before treating them a certain way.

And again, where do "rights" enter into behavior that is socially and naturally aberrant? It is not I defining it so, it is history, all time and all cultures, which have defined it so. Again, shall we give rights to pedophiles too? You all insist there is no connection but there is: you are redefining something that was always considered to be aberrant as normal, something never contemplated by any sane society until very recently, so it is fair in the effort to get this across to you to point out that there are other "sexual orientations" besides homosexuality that you aren't quite ready to define as normal. We have always defined this society as being free. This requires us to continually throw out discrimination when it comes to light. This means that we should favor the rights of people over your sense of what is or isn't natural. At one time it was though unnatural for someone to marry outside of their race. We got rid of that as well, and now we are attempting to get rid of discrimination aimed at sexual orientation. At some point you need to realize that people should be able to lead their own lives as they see fit, not as you see fit.

No, it has nothing to do with menopause because it has nothing to do with fertility. It has to do with the anatomic potential to make babies, which heterosexual couples have irrespective of whether they are fertile or not ... Would you say that a woman who's had a hysterectomy has "the anatomical potential to make babies"? If so, why?
... and homosexuals don't. but of course anything you can do to obscure the point you will do. The reason I didn't immediately grasp your "point" is that it's so recondite and stupid that I couldn't imagine anyone making it. Really, why on Earth should that be the point? Not whether they're going to have children, not whether they can have children, but the precise nature of the cause of their inability to have children? Why in the world should that be a basis for making a decision?
