In the prophecy, Isaiah 7:14, the prophet said, "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel." This prophecy refers to the birth of Jesus in Matthew 1:22-23, " The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' which means, 'God with us.'" This does not mean, however, that the Messiah’s name would actually be Immanuel. There are many names given to Jesus using the phrase “He shall be called,” both in the Old and New Testaments. “His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6). None of these titles was Jesus’ actual name, but these were descriptions people would use to refer to Him forever.

Learn to read in context.
Stop just believing what folk tell you. Here is that section in context: quote: Note the parts that many preachers always leave out. " For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings." The child which will be born will be immediate, and during the lifetime of Azah. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

When one traces the roots of the Britons, Scots, Irish, Welsh, English (Anglos and Saxons), Picts, Normans, and Celts, there is substantial evidence that all of those peoples are of Israelite descent. The tribe of Joseph seems to be best represented, but there is evidence for the presence of several of the tribes. Volumes have been written on that subject.
The Stone of Scone-The Stone of Scone, which is also known as the Stoneof Destiny and has had an extraordinarily elevated place in Irish,Scottish, English, British, Jewish, Muslim History, is a 26 incheslong, 16 inches wide, and 11 inches high block of yellowishsandstone, weighing 152 Kg and carved with a Latin Cross on top. http://www.cai.org/bible-studies/davids-throne-found-britain

Nothing in any of that has anything to do with the fact that the British Monarchs are seated on King Edwards chair during the coronation.
Volumes have been written about Merlin and Tom Sawyer as well. Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. 16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. I dont know why it is immediate? Was not the Jews forsaken of thier kings at the time of Jesus's life? This is a prophecy of the rule of Christ and the birth of Christ. Christ has not ruled but will after the antichrist prepares for war against Israel. Then Jesus will return will the raptured to destroy the antichrist and his armies and Christ will rule for a 1,000 years. You think of things literally actually. Thinking here and now, when time to God is infinate and tomorrow can be a thousand years. The Scriptures are visions and prophecies God was showing the people of the end and rule of Christ. Not a enemy then and now. The enemy then was because of the lack of faith and today it is the same and the same will happen to us.

It is immediate because it says it is immediate.
Did it happen before the child born during Azah's reign was old enough to know good from evil? Note it is taking about the land that Azah abhors, their current enemy. The question is whether or not ANY Old Testament prophecies refer to Jesus and so far the answer is "No!". Since you haven't read Isaiah 7, here is all of it. quote: NOTE that the virgin birth and subsequent events are a sign given to Azah, signs for HIM to see during his lifetime. By the way, the prophecy did get fulfilled and during Azah's lifetime. Azah was king of Judah, and Israel was allied with Syria. Israel at the time was considered an apostate Nation. The two Kings mentioned are the Kings of Israel and of Syria (Damascus). Israel and Syria were attacking Judah and the fulfillment of the prophecy was when the Assyrians conquered both Nations. Care to share any of this "substantial evidence"?
Absolutely hilarious. Your links offer no evidence to back up these wild ass assertions. You do know what evidence is don't you? This is my favorite assertion from your one link. quote: Freaking priceless. My next favorite is this. quote: It is actually The College of Arms. Please show the source for this. The only sources I can find are fundie christian sites. Also, if there was a biblical King David and he had descendents that have survived then there is a chance that anyone alive now could be a descendent. It wouldn't be that special. I am sure if this is true about the "Royal College of Heralds" then they must have done up a genealogy. Please provide it. I am calling bullshit on this. Edited by Adminnemooseus, : Fix "link" link. There was an extra space at the end of the url, before the "". Facts don't lie or have an agenda. Facts are just facts

This is easy to see. Go to coat of arms of Prince Charles of England. On his coat of arms you see the following: 1. representative Lion - This Lion of thier arms descends from Judah. Even further back to Babylon. Opposite the Lion is a unicorn this unicorn also represents Israel. In the middle of the arms is a harp. This Harp is the harp of David this symbolizes that the British monarch is heir to Davids throne. Also is was a must for Charles to marry Diana because she was princess of Wales who sports the Red Dragon. The red dragon is chained to the unicorn this symbolizes that the unicorn is controlled by the red dragon. All these symbolize Israel, Judah, and the antichrist. His Lion looks as though it was a Lion but is not. It is the mouth of a Lion, the feet of a Bear, and the body of a leopard. He has a little lion atop this crest also giving into the Little horn.
