Praying, Oops I mean asking Mary to "intercede" is wrong plain and simple. Why?
The problem with Catholicism is that they instead of looking towards the Bible it look towards the Pope and "Tradition", who time and time again has been proven not worthy of the title "Infallible"... The Bible is simply a very imperfect book that refelects the point of view of people that lived thousands of years ago, that added parts to protect their position and perks, their myths and tales. The Map is not the Territory.

You provide no evidence, rather an opinion. I will be happy to discuss the failings of the Bible with you. But it is just a book, written by men, with their own agendas. Asking Mary to interceed with you is no more a sin than talking with your dead parents. The Bible is not Christianity. It is just a guide, nothing more. You may not agree with that, and that is fine with me, but to use it as more will lead you away from the very message that it contains.

Christ was prophesied in these books. His story was told. His sacrifice was described in these books. The basis of your faith is defined in these books. Well, so far no one has been able to show where Christ was prophesised in the Bible. And the basis for my belief is his life, not the Bible. The Bible is but one way to know GOD and certainly not the surest route.

Some. But they have also been reworked to serve other purposes. For example, John was written to strengthen the move to break Cristianity off into a seperate religion as opposed to being just another Jewish sect. Isaiah 53 is often used as a prophesy but it is far more likely yet another general lament.

Even if his assertion is true, despite the obviousness of the references in Isaiah, Jar still preacheth an anti-bible statement, admitting he has no interest or belief in the bible, just like you. I find it interesting that you would call me anti-bible. I don't believe that is the case. I do not think of myself as anti-bible but rather someone that accepts the Bible as it was intended. Let me ask you a question. Is the life and message of Jesus any different if there are no prophecies of his coming in the Bible?

Do you prefer the crowd's voice rather than the cross's? Was Jesus the voice of the crowd? Was his message of the mass, was he echoing the party line? If I am the only person making such claims, does that make them wrong?

Is the source then questioned? Yes How would that change the message? In fact, if every single tale in the Old Testament were to be shown to be no more than tales told around the campfire, would it change the message?

The credibility of the message would be questioned, leading to it being called lies. You can do better than that I hope. Love GOD, love others as you love yourself. How can that be less meaningful if the whole of the Old Testament is simply fable? Maybe I need to ask you what the message of Jesus was?

But the book does have flaws. Genesis 1 tells a different story than Genesis 2. The world-wide flood never happened. The account of Joshua is incorrect. The Noah tale is fiction. Exodus never happened as described. But none of those flaws relate to the message. Love GOD, love others as you love yourself.
