Yes, the loss of the jump-to page number feature in the All Topics screen is a real kicker.

But you shouldn't need to rely on the page links as much as before. As people post to threads you'll begin to notice little blue arrows in the left-hand column beneath the folders. Click on these and they will take you to the last unread message in a thread. The board now remembers the last time you were in a thread and provides this link to take you to the first message posted after that time. Ooo.. shiny. Actually on a thread-by-thread basis or just last time you logged into the site?

I've noticed a bug; it's listing the most recent post on some of the topics incorrectly - as in posts from different topics. I currently get the Icons post above listed as the latest post in the Modularity thread.

Utf-8
Aren't they UTF-8 codes? You can convert them here by hand, but I'd have expected you to be able to source a nice Perl gidgit to do it for you fairly easily. A quick google located this and this related to character encoding problems in Perl (dBoard is written in Perl, isn't it?). Edited by Mr Jack, : Links added

(BUG) Doubles the message?
Several times now I have had the software double up the text of a message after posting or previewing. It seems to be linked to mismatched tags in the message.

Can you drop the fucking flashing announcements?
Thank you. Seriously. Flashing was rude in '99; it's even more so now.

Re: Can you drop the fucking flashing announcements?
They're still really, really annoying. They annoy me almost every time I visit this site. I know of no other decent internet site that uses such a rude, and annoying, mechanism. It's completely unnecessary. Please get rid of it.

Re: Can you drop the fucking flashing announcements?
Is there any reason for read announcements to appear there at all? Why not simply include unread announcements, and then remove them when read? Wouldn't that be drawing sufficient attention to them? Also:
Browsers disabled the blink feature long ago because of how annoying they are Do you not think that should have told you something? Edited by Mr Jack, : Additional
