Being offended.

The PC police are ruining this world. I believe they are trying to accomplish something that can never be accomplished.Short story, when I first felt the Holy Spirit I felt something so amazing, so wondeful, so full of love that I wanted to share it with everyone. I wanted to be like Jesus. Offending people was the last thing on my mind. Well I got a big wake up call as I proceeded the next few years trying to share that love. I found myself offending people with it (especially here). The people being offended probably weren't being offended by me per-say, but by their pre-conceived notions and ignorance of where I was coming from. I found out that you can never be non-offensive.Having said that, and having gone through years of trying to be non-offensive I have decided that being PC or non-offensive is mentally impossible. I think we would be better well served as a society to teach people how "not to be offended".Here is a short clip (yes it is Fox news, suck it). It is an excellent clip showing the state of the PC world and where it is heading.

You are a prime example of what I am saying. I have never "pushed anything down anyones throat". That's something that happened in your past, and now you are taking it out on me, and I find that offensive.

This thread is not specifically about PC vs atheism vs Christianity. It's about all political correctness.Lami was starting to touch on it. He doesn't want to be offensive, yet finds no way not to be except by shutting up. Maybe if people learned how not to be offended and just listen once and a while, life would be better.There is no possible way not to offend people. Sooner or later you will do it, and without even knowing you did. No matter how hard you try.

I didn't assault anyone, no more than a transgender has assaulted the world with their beliefs. Again, you are a prime example. Part II of this thread will go on to explain how you don't believe in being offensive, yet readily offend people. I made my point. I asked to have my mind changed. Not a single person has countered my point or attempted to ratioanlly change my mind. Instead I just get called a fucking asshole. Good thing my idea works, otherwise I would be offended, lmao.

Well here is further proof of what I am saying. When I said "share it with everyone" all I meant was God's Love. I never said I was going around trying to convince people to believe in Jesus so they can go to heaven. It's people's own short comings that allow them to be offended. Giving Love should never offend, but it does. There even thise that try to do things for the "greater good" in 3rd wolrd countries and find themselves offending people.You will never be able to be non-offensive, change my mind.

You think you are being right. There is no objective evidence that you are. That's the main problem with being PC. It's subjective to everyone's subjectiveness.I don't need the PC police. I have a much healthier way of dealing with it. Since you are the one with the problem, not me, I am free.

I never said I told them about my God. I said I was sharing love. My story is one of many stories. I would bet a paycheck that you have offended some people here with your posts. I bet we all have. I agree Stile. I am mainly focusing on but not limited to the current attempt at being inoffensive and the extremes they are taking it to. A example might be the word "ze", since we can no longer say he or she.We definitely should be teaching respect along with how not to be offended.

There may or may not be millions of examples, (most likely there are) but it is what the media and the left is pushing on us, so it must be "important ". My problems with it are that it is counter productive, and it is not "all inclusive".Edited by riVeRraT, : No reason given.
