You rail about these injustices but do not see that we need to get the ship to turn in order to make the changes. Hillary Clinton is not a great choice, but she is a good choice. SHe can be the instrument of a lot of good change for the people of the United States and people around the world. But alas, as everyone, she is far from perfect.So if Hillary Clinton is the Dem nominee, will you protest her candidacy? Will you support the Republican candidate? Will you take your ball and go home?Righteous indignation is well and good, but unless you can actually do something to effect the change it is no different than masturbation.

Faith's responses and arguments have solidified a few I have had for a while. Many of the people on the religious right do not follow the people they do because they embody or articulate the religious view they hold. The support for Donald Trump completely destroys this idea. They follow the people they do because they feel it gives them some sort of moral cover for the hate they have. Donald Trump's followers expose the hypocrisy and hate of the religious right movement. They can make all the high moral claims they want , but the tortured reasoning they use just continues to expose them for haters and hypocrites.Faith is a prime example.Edited by Theodoric, : Typo

Well the answer is easy. There is no way to logically support your beliefs so if your martyr yourself at least you will have some sort of spiritual justification.
The amazing thing is that what you claim the government is going to do to you is exactly what you want done to people that don't hold your beliefs. The thing you and your ilk don't understand is that the other side has no desire to hurt or martyr you because of your beliefs. The projection is very disturbing. You will notice we only fight back when you try to impose your belief structure on others.

There are laws against discrimination. The laws protect christians too.
