Dr. A's post was a side-handed swipe at libertarianism, not a reference to a specific candidate.

Trump has been married too many times but I'm not aware that he's cheated on his wife as Clinton did, but then I don't claim to be up on it all, so please show me how this cartoon is justified.

I meant to say Rubio, not Cruz. Cruz is batshit. And believe me, that's definitely not an endorsement for Rubio! Kindly explain what it is about Cruz that you are describing in this way. Rubio too.

One thing that should be important in any candidate for a position like President or Congressman or School board member would be evidence that the person is able to make decisions based on reality. If someone believes the Earth is young or that Evolution is not a fact or that Global Warming should not be addressed by reducing human contributions then it is clear that they are not capable of making decisions based on reality and so they cannot reasonably be considered for any position where decision making is a factor.Anyone so limited that they can only spell a word one way is severely handicapped!

Trump has been married too many times but I'm not aware that he's cheated on his wife as Clinton did, He cheated on Ivana with Marla. Marla claims this, and the witnesses concur Trump would put his arm around her as they walked, they witnessed Marla claimed it at the time it happened and the three of them were tense around one another and there were heated arguments. Also, Ivana claims he made her sign a pre-nup at around the time someone was said to have been blackmailing Trump about releasing evidence of this. After he divorced Ivana, he got Marla pregnant and then married her.

Faith writes: You do know that churches always used to be tax-exempt just because they were churches, right? Yep. That's true.
Faith writes: there was never any legal problem until the 501c3 government intrusion I believe this is also true. I'd also add that the time at which this happened was in the 1950s.
Faith writes: And since preaching on the culture, including preaching on politics, is standard Christian work, And herein lies the difficulty. Churches expand their efforts into very political arenas including at times being clearly on the 'wrong' side of issues, but even more often wielding influence that is at least arguably impermissible under the First Amendment. That is the genesis of the restrictions. Even with the restrictions Churches are allowed to operate in ways that other non-profits cannot and to give their officials perks that would have tax implications everywhere else. And the speech restrictions are no more stringent than other non-profits. Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. ...wielding influence that is at least arguably impermissible under the First Amendment. Only under today's revisionist bogus understanding of the First Amendment, not under the original understanding of it, which says that not only is Congress not to make a law establishing a religion that all must adhere to, but it is also not to interfere with the free exercise of religious activity. And why can't anyone remember that in the days when the amendment was written even its authors supported prayer in government business and even sometimes adjourned for the purpose of attending Christian services. Of course today's revisionist version interferes all the time with religious activity, at least Christian activity, while nobody seems to mind what the Muslims do or any other religion, just Christians. Attacking the one true religion of course because it's the only religion that's a threat to the devil's work. But that's the way things are going and it's in accord with biblical prophecy although I do wish it would slow down for a while. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. which says that not only is Congress not to make a law establishing a religion that all must adhere to, but it is also not to interfere with the free exercise of religious activity. The current meaning of the First Amendment in which the government is limited in its ability to interfere or aid religion, and which establishes the necessity of a State and Church wall of separation is easily traceable to the writings of Madison and Jefferson. Sorry, but your claim is nonsense. The only thing modern about the First Amendment is the extension to the states, and some nuances that currently are used to allow the State to help churches in ways that are contrary to prior decisions. while nobody seems to mind what the Muslims do or any other religion, just Christians. I seldom hear about governments refusing to allow Christians to build churches, but I quite often hear of states making it impossible for Muslims to build places of worship. Perhaps your statement is inaccurate? Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. indly explain what it is about Cruz that you are describing in this way. I went back through all the mentions of Cruz on this thread. I don't see a lot of explanation about what Cruz says or does that makes people call him nuts. Good question.
Rubio too. You want an explanation of why Rubio is not considered crazy? Under a government which imprisons any unjustly, the true place for a just man is also in prison. Of course today's revisionist version interferes all the time with religious activity, at least Christian activity, while nobody seems to mind what the Muslims do or any other religion, just Christians. Actually, exactly the same tax code applies to Muslim organizations as to Christian organizations. Obviously. Duh. But it does seem like only Christians whine about it as though it was a particularly painful form of martyrdom which only affects them.

Islam shouldn't have the benefit of tax exempt status anyway, being the devil's own invention, nor any religion other than Christianity. Nor should the Ford, Carnegie and Rockefeller foundations which all financed the rewriting of textbooks for American schools back in the early part of the last century to brainwash everybody into accepting Communism. Which is why everybody at EvC is a socialist and you don't even know you're brainwashed.
But it's all part of the prophesied transformation toward the One World Order with its One World Religion so I guess I should just sit back and watch it happen.
