Re: Impeachment debacle
They got their aid without any quid pro quo of any sort. And Obama didn't give them any.
The US has been providing substantial aid to Ukraine since the Russian seizure of Crimea. What changed under Trump was the decision to give them guns - the Obama administration thought it would be too provocative to Russia and would escalate the conflict further to provide Ukraine with weaponry. That didn't mean they gave nothing - Trump dismissed the aid provided under Obama as 'blankets', but it included (for examples) radar systems used to detect incoming enemy fire.
Trump did not decide to give more aid, he simply decided that that money Congress had already voted to provide under Obama could also be used to buy missiles.

Re: Impeachment debacle
The president of Ukraine scheduled an interview/appearance on CNN
(...)
Then the CNN interview/appearance was cancelled.
This is, I think, the important bit. People keep talking about Trump withholding aid unless Ukraine launched politically-motivated investigations. But that does not seem to be quite the right interpretation from the testimony. It was less about doing any actual investigation, it was about announcing an investigation on English-language TV. This was all clearly for US-domestic consumption.

In just over two minutes, the so-called president denied the actual death rate of Covid-19, told people who think they may have the virus to go ahead and go to work and compares the virus to the flu, even though he has been told over and over again that it is not at all like the flu
Telling people to spread their germs around their workplace is extraordinarily irresponsible, but I take issue with the highlighted part of the sentence. To say this is 'not at all like the flu' is plainly and obviously wrong. It's a viral infection that causes pretty much exactly the same symptoms as the flu. It's very much like the flu.
Regarding the 'actual death rate', he's not wrong. 3.4% is simply the number of reported coronavirus deaths divided by the number of confirmed cases. The actual death rate, then, has to be less than 3.4%. We don't know what it is, and Trump's not really qualified to estimate, but he only described it as a hunch based on conversations he'd had. And his 'hunch' is not at all out of line with professional opinion. He's obviously just picking the professional opinions he wants to be true.

Re: Vocabulary nitpick
When Obama took office he threw out everybody in the White House from the previous administration, Trump didn't do that.
Who were all these people that Trump kept on? Because I'm bored I just went through the entire White House Executive Office under Obama, couldn't find a soul who was still there on January 21st 2017.
