It is behavior like this that started my journey out of the church. People I had once respected when I was a child turned out to be deceptive liars, and it made me question everything they had taught me about God and Bible. If they are willing to blatantly lie about easily checked facts, then why should I trust them about more serious matters?
If I felt that atheism needed a recruiter, Faith would be my first candidate.
