I mentioned that you actually offered religion, not fact or real knowledge or science. Now if you want to get down and dirty, try to defend something you offered and I may offer an exegesis on it.

No. The way that it is 'borne out' in deep space does not even deal with time existing there. Strawman.

No it does not! The base line used always represents earth time and space! They then try to make that equal to lines going to a star. Pure religion!

I get it - you're working backwards from the answer you want.
As a grad student I graded homework papers for students using a textbook with the answer ( question 14 = 1.68 m) in the back of the book. For some questions, the student had to assume a water temperature, usually 4C or 20C. at the beginning of the solution for properties of the water. If the temperature was different from the assumed temperature used by the book's author, the student's answer would be slightly off. Students would then start working backwards from the answer in the book but didn't change their assumptions at the beginning. From the initial assumption to the answer from the book required them to erase their correct work and make math errors somewhere in their solution. You have your answer - biblical literalism. You are working backwards from the answer you want but you don't know how to work out the solution. What is your evidence that time moves at different rates depending on location? Do you have any concept of how that would look? What evidence you're looking for?

Now if you want to get down and dirty, try to defend something you offered and I may offer an exegesis on it. Name the subject from the many I've addressed, and we'll go to an appropriate thread.

No. The way that it is 'borne out' in deep space does not even deal with time existing there. Strawman. This is a science forum. Evidence and analysis count, unsupported assertions don't. Why does it not even deal with time? Be specific. Edited by JonF, : No reason given.

And yet the baseline for the distance to SN1987A is 168,000 light-years away, and the point is on Earth. The time at SN1987A is the same as time here. 56Ni decays at the same rate it does here, but is 168,000 light-years out there. There's a pretty good explanation at The Age of the Universe and SN1987A . I'll be glad to discuss it if you ever show any interest in discussion rather than random assertions as a Gish Gallop.

It certainly appears that he has no interest in or capability of following rule 4. His ignorance is an established fact. Yeah, it's hard to find a YEC who will try to discuss, but he isn't trying.

Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me. Some names hurt me. Names such as "Liar" or "Con". I forgive my accusers only because they do not understand me. Other names actually help me. Names such as "Leader" or "wise one" or "smart guy". My point is that words can hurt others...but they can also help and encourage them. Thankfully, we cant get hurt by sticks or stones on the internet. Chance as a real force is a myth. It has no basis in reality and no place in scientific inquiry. For science and philosophy to continue to advance in knowledge, chance must be demythologized once and for all. —RC Sproul "A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes." —Mark Twain

To comment upon a different area from AdminPhat, discussion in the science forums should support one's position with evidence. Typically this can't be done in posts of few sentences, of which there have been far too many. Please focus on the evidence.

He's been given the benefit of the doubt and demonstrated that he didn't deserve it. He can't be bothered to do even basic research. He hasn't worked out his own ideas to the point where he can sensibly discuss them. He's arrogant, ignorant and babbles nonsense.
Until he can get past those handicaps he has nothing to offer.
