The amendment was written for a specific purpose involving freed slaves. The question has to do with its original intent.

Thanks for making the chart visible for me.
As usual it's all just normal contacts with foreign representatives that all politicians engage in, except that Trump also had business dealings in the mix, nothing sinister there either.

A happy conclusion to a dangerous fake news event.
NBC News The bishop of the Covington Diocese in Kentucky apologized Friday to the teenager at the center of a controversy over the behavior of Catholic high school students toward a Native American elder in Washington.
In a letter to parents, the Most Rev. Roger Foys said the diocese was too quick to condemn the actions of the Covington Catholic High School students, particularly those of Nicholas Sandmann, the boy who was seen on video facing off with Native American elder Nathan Phillips as he performed the song "American Indian Movement" near the Lincoln Memorial. "We should not have allowed ourselves to be bullied and pressured into making a statement prematurely, and we take full responsibility for it," Foys wrote. "I especially apologize to Nicholas Sandmann and his family, as well as to all CovCath families who have felt abandoned during this ordeal." |

All that has been discussed on the conservative talk shows and dismissed as much ado about nothing. And since none of it has implicated Trump in any kind of Russian collusion it's all a big waste of time. And it's all innuendo and personal opinion at this point. I understand that you think it means something but you aren't qualified to judge it.

The whole reason for the Mueller investigation in the first place was Russian collusion.
Who said conservative talk shows "get to define" these things? The point is to question YOUR defining them, or anybody not in a legal position to define them. Conservative talk show hosts who have studied all this better than you have certainly have as much right to their opinion, and more, than you have. You love your long lists of stuff that you think is evidence of something but is only innuendo until it's all decided by a court. You have no idea how typical or untypical such contacts are. Where are your lists of similar contacts by Obama and his team, Hillary and her team, the Bushes and their teams, Bill Clinton? Etc etc etc. You know absolutely nothing about what any of this means but you think being able to make long lists of this nothingness adds up to somethingness. It doesn't. It's all fake news designed to LOOK LIKE it means something against Trump. Edited by Faith, : No reason given. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

I wonder if anyone can name THAT crazy fallacy. The whole point is it's likely normal for political teams to meet with foreign representatives since the government deals regularly with foreign nations. There was nothing hidden about these contacts, they were mostly conversations that occurred quite openly, at well-attended events.
But then anyone who thinks he can define what it means to someone else to wear a MAGA hat doesn't know how to think anyway. Treason indeed. There is truly something wrong with the Leftist mind. There was no campaign contribution involved.

I didn't offer to provide information. The point was that if you don't have that information your focus on Trump is meaningless.

You are all speculating on innuendos and nothing else, from your own hatred of Trump. You have no idea what the actual legal meaning of any of this is.

Yes it hasn't been tested in court and that is the point. You have judged the case here and that's all just leftist opinion.

As long as you ignore all the opinion on the Right, which I don't claim to represent beyond the barest impressions, your opinion is utterly meaningless to me. Deal with it.

I really can't believe a word anyone on the Left says. Sorry.
As for Russian collusion for the purpose of influencing the election there is one clear case of that, and that was Hillary's purchase of the bogus "dossier." THAT one isn't a mere matter of speculation.

We are not even into February and the cost of illegal immigration so far this year is $18,959,495,168. Cost Friday was $603,331,392. Where do those figures come from? I hear numbers like that all the time on my conservative radio shows, not from Trump, just from the hosts who collect such information. It no doubt includes the costs of the border patrol, detention facilities and staff, transportation costs, food costs, medical costs, police and legal costs in many places in the country, and lots more. The number I hear most is that one illegal immigrant costs us $70,000 per year, not sure what all that includes, but it's many times my own income. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

I don't lie, there are better explanations for discrepancies between what I'm saying and what you think, the main one being that YOU are the one in the wrong.
I'm sure they do show how the numbers are arrived at but I don't keep track because it never occurs to me I'm going to be posting these things here. Another part of the cost they are no doubt including is the cost in drug trafficking, deaths from drugs, medical and police involvement in that etc. Edited by Faith, : No reason given.

That can't possibly amount to much, especially considering that they are displacing American workers. Of course Americans would have to be paid better but the overall cost has to be hundreds of times greater than any benefits.
