Tax cuts to the wealthy do not create jobs or help the economy. Trickle down is voodoo economics. Tax cuts to the wealthy actually cause a lowering of investments. I will try to explain this in terms even you can understand.Lower taxes for rich and corporations disenctivizes investments. Lower taxes allows corporations to over reward execs and allows them to bank money and inflate their stock value. None of those things equate to job growth or higher rewards for workers.
With a higher tax rate corporations will not hold profits or pay execs exorbitant sums because they will not want to give the money to the government in the form of taxes. Instead they will spend that money on capital expenditures and human capital. This in turn lowers their profit and thus lowers their tax burden.This is basic economics.
