Apparently Turkey is ruled by Islamic terrorists. This is why they shouldn't receive U.S. government aid, which they don't.
70 million Turks think Rick Perry is an idiot, as does everyone else. In other Perry-related news 39% of Texan Republicans think he's hurting the image of their state. Now I'm trying to think of any Texan who's actually added luster to the fair name of Texas. Maybe some of their delicious cows.

In late breaking news, Santorum actually won Iowa, except that the votes from eight precincts haven't been counted yet, because, why? the volunteers ran out of fingers? so maybe he didn't.
In other news, Marianne Gingrich talks about how Newt wanted an "open marriage". Now, call me old-fashioned in my traditionalist view of polyamory, but it's not an open marriage unless you agree to it in advance. Finding out that your husband is cheating on you and then not divorcing him would not be "open", it would be apathetic. Perry, who has endorsed Gingrich, is of course full of Christian charity towards the gross whoremonger. "The fact is, there is forgiveness for those who seek God and I believe in the power of redemption, for it is a central tenet of my own Christian faith." Which is what every Republican always says when one of their own gets caught with his pants down. One would be more impressed by these pious pratings if any Republican had ever forgiven any Democrat for anything.

Have you ever noticed how quick and effective Newt's responses have been in the debates, particularly the last one? Newt has two factors in his record which will draw votes from both the liberals and moderates, but the conservatives as well.He has his record of some immorality and moderate policies coupled with his conversion, enlightenment and purported more conservative stance. And yet the very least any recent poll shows Obama beating Gingrich by is seven points. Perhaps Newt's immorality is not such a draw as you hope. It's won him no plaudits from liberals and moderates, and there may even be a few members of the Religious Right who actually disapprove of adultery.
The above, coupled with his highly intelligent off the cuff articulate, informative and inspiring responses would leave our puny little big eared elfish looking anti-Christian/Pro-Muslim/black supremest/racist/ultra-socialist/stealthy/ignorant (i.e. 57 states of America) excuse for a commander in chief of the armed forces and and presiding officer of the government of the once good ole US of A mumbling and bumbling. When I see how much stuff you have to make up in order to attack Obama, I think he must be nearly perfect. Otherwise surely you'd attack him by saying stuff that was true.
As to the closeted skeletons, LoL. None of Newt's holds a candle to that of President Kennedy and our pal, Slick Willy Clinton. But Gingrich would have to run against Obama, who so far as we know is not a gigantic bag of sleaze. (As for "Slick Willy Clinton", Gingrich makes him look like a choir-boy, but that's by-the-by.) However, the point may well be moot, as rather surprisingly Republicans seem to prefer the Mormon to the hypocrite scumbag serial adulterer. Perhaps he should try breaking a few more of the Ten Commandments and see if they like him any better. He's done "thou shalt not commit adultery", "thou shalt not steal", and "thou shalt not bear false witness", but has he tried worshiping graven images yet? Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

But what if you can't read minds? What then, Buz, what then?
I judge people by their actions, but then I'm not psychotic.

Obviously, Jar, you are oblivious to the fact that all of the recent US presidents and globalist leaders have been advocating a New World Order. This aspiration is also on the agenda of the Counsel Of Foreign Relations (CFR) which comprises all of the powerful elitists of every sector of business, media, government etc. The globalist Tri Lateral Commission, elitists of every major sector that comprises the CFR aspire to a global NWO as well And Gingrich is a member of the CFR. Unlike Obama. But at least Gingrich is an adulterer, hypocrite, liar and thief, so that makes him

What ever happened to family and values? Is it not important anymore? Of course it's important, that's why Newt has pledged himself to protect marriage. So long as it isn't one of his. After all, if he can't have a faithful monogamous relationship, why should anyone else?

Rush Limbaugh:
So Newt wanted an open marriage. BFD. At least he asked his wife for permission instead of cheating on her. That's a mark of character, in my book. And here's Keith Ablow of Fox News:
1) Three women have met Mr. Gingrich and been so moved by his emotional energy and intellect that they decided they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with him. 2) Two of these women felt this way even though Mr. Gingrich was already married. 3 ) One of them felt this way even though Mr. Gingrich was already married for the second time, was not exactly her equal in the looks department and had a wife (Marianne) who wanted to make his life without her as painful as possible. Conclusion: When three women want to sign on for life with a man who is now running for president, I worry more about whether we’ll be clamoring for a third Gingrich term, not whether we’ll want to let him go after one. It is not often that I am lost for words. Fortunately, in this case it doesn't seem necessary to say anything.

But the largest problem is likely the fact that something like 1/3 of every dollar paid in insurance premiums goes to claims filing. I was going to say something, but then I realized ... this is The Awesome Republican Primary Thread. Can we do the case for public healthcare somewhere else? I'll start a thread myself, actually.

Newt Gingrich on negative campaigning: "Politics has become a really nasty, vicious, negative business and I think it’s disgusting and I think it’s dishonest."
Newt Gingrich on Mitt Romney: "A pro-abortion, pro gun control, pro tax increase liberal." Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.

The basis of this view seems to be that the sort of views being espoused in the Republican nomination TV dabates would be considered lunatic fringe nutjobbery in any other developed Western economy. Is this true? If so - How the hell did America end up in this situation. Because America is the greatest nation on Earth, whereas everyone else is Communist.
(The logical implication of this assertion is that, contrary to popular belief, America lost the Cold War. Logical implications are also Communist.)

That was Dr A reporting live from the studios of Fox News. No, that was my guest appearance on the Colbert Report.

So, Romney won the Nevada caucus, for the first time getting over 50%. (To be precise, 50.1%.)
Apparently no-one cares, even me and I live in Nevada. Let apathy ring throughout the land! It has led to people calling for the caucus system in Nevada to be replaced by a primary. 'Cos only 34,000 people bothered to turn up out of a population of ~2.7 million. Apparently even Nevadans don't care very much about how they vote.
We're for democracy, we're just not very interested in it. Edited by Dr Adequate, : No reason given.
