Faith writes: Well, I concluded it from information given by you all here, so if it's nonsense it's YOUR nonsense. You're lying again, and Jesus knows it. IF it's MY nonsense, kindly link to the message with the evidence that shows that such information came from me (or any of the folk arguing with you about this point. Now let me give you a hint as to what you are looking for to get out of your lie. You are looking for a quote where one of your opponents tells you that being born in Kenya of a Kenyan father and US citizen mother precludes someone from being president. Good luck. ThanksJB

Faith writes: Ha ha. Right. So now explain why it's so evil for the "birthers" to claim he was born in Kenya? Just agree with them instead of calling them names. Nope, clearly there IS a problem with his having been born in Kenya of a Kenyan father. Are you DAFT? The problem is that it is not the truth. If a bunch of dimwits started saying that you were born in Kenya and you had proof that you were not, would YOU just agree with them or call them names? What if Eleanor Roosevelt had wings? -- Monty Python One important characteristic of a theory is that is has survived repeated attempts to falsify it. My my my, so many who don't bother reading in context. Just pay attention to the post I'm answering to see why I'm answering it that way. You and Thin Air both violate this simple rule of discourse.

Read up thread a tad and read in context for a change.

Nowhere did I (or will you) find where I or anyone you are arguing with told you that being born in Kenya of a Kenyan father and a US citizen mother makes one ineligible to be President, and yet that's what you claimed. Now you want to deflect and blame others (and Jesus knows it)

The Constitution requires that a President be born in the USA ...
Completely and utter false! Before you tell us what the Constitution requires, shouldn't you take a little time to read it first? Is it an article of faith with you that you must be ignorant of everything you choose to pontificate on?Section 1 of Article Two of the United States Constitution sets forth the eligibility requirements for serving as president of the United States (my emphasis added): quote: While the Constitution does not specify exactly how "a natural born Citizen" is defined, subsequent law, including the Naturalization Act of 1790, has. A 2011 Congressional Research Service report stated that:
quote:His mother was a citizen, so he is a "natural born Citizen" as required, regardless of the fact that he was also born in the USA (a former co-worker and native Hawaiian could never understand the main-land idiots who didn't realize that Hawaii is in the USA). I honestly don't care where Obama was born*. But your post did elicit a thought: If I go down to Tijuana and knock up a Mexican prostitute, would that child be a natural born citizen (in the US)? What if it wasn't a stranger and instead it was a woman who I had been married to, would that matter (in the legal sense)? . *I don't see why I should care where you flopped out of your mom's vagina. If you can become the POTUS, then you can.

So I had to use the "Thread Details" button to find Dave's post that I just replied to.
And I noticed that the late, and great, Buzsaw had bunch of posts in this thread. (all you new guys won't know him as being the old YEC conservative that he was) But here's a link to his posts in this thread from back in 2011: here And if you want to see what my opinion has been over the last 4 years, then you can find it: here. Maybe that can add some context to my question so I can't come back and excuse a stupid post as "just joking" Ha! just joking...

It was Jones' post and he gave two options and I responded to the second with a logical suggestion as to how anyone who believes it should respond. You even quoted it I believe, missing the whole point. You sure are one sanctimonious know-it-all aren't you?

So, the answer to my question is yes.

If there isn't a problem if he was born in Kenya there would be no need for all the extreme efforts to prove he wasn't. Why bother if it's all the same? WHY NOT JUST SAY IT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM instead of going to such lengths to prove it false?

So you don't give a damn about the truth. And you think its wrong for people to care about truth. And if people do care about truth, their very concern about that truth is clear evidence in support of the falsehood. Up is down. True is false. Good is bad. Faith is an evil nihilist atheist. Oh, and if Faith disagrees with any of this, that disagreement will only be evidence supporting it. The multiverse thesis must be true, and we have just entered an alternative universe.Fundamentalism - the anti-American, anti-Christian branch of American Christianity

WHY NOT JUST SAY IT WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM instead of going to such lengths to prove it false? So, you are daft. We all know it is not a problem, but that is beside the point. It is not true. The only people who went to great lengths were the dimwit birthers, and they came up with bullshit. Obama just points to his birth certificate and laughs. We are just saying you are daft for believing this silly bullshit. What if Eleanor Roosevelt had wings? -- Monty Python One important characteristic of a theory is that is has survived repeated attempts to falsify it. If there is no challenge to his qualifications for the Presidency the truth in this case is just a trivial misunderstanding. All that ever had to be said is Gee no I wasn't born in Kenya if there was no Constitutional problem raised by it. And it should be easy enough to prove there is no Constitutional problem if that's true, so that should be the focus rather than going to the trouble of producing documents. This whole thing is fishy.

So, you are daft. Why do you keep denying the clear evidence that he was born in Kenya? Literary agent said so. Grandmother said so. Other Kenyan relatives said so. Mailman said he was a "foreign student," which someone born in Hawaii would not be. You have to ignore or rationalize away a LOT of perfectly good evidence to be as daft as you are.
