Hi Paulk,
Paulk writes: So innocent people caught up in a riot deserve to be arrested. Even if it is the police’s fault that they are caught up in a riot. All a person has to do when the rioting begins is to walk away. Nobody does anything they do not want to do. Hi Dr,
Dr writes: He was outside of the Courthouse. Pettibone recounted how he was walking back to a car about 2 a.m. on July 15. Walking back from where? Where had he been and what had he been doing to attract the attention of the officers. He was warned about officers in plain vehicles picking up people . He said the whole idea seemed incredible to him. A short time later a van approached and several men got out. Do you ever read anything before commenting?"John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

Hi vimesey
vimesey writes: Denying that the United States is a democracy seems a new approach to smoothing the path for populist takeover. May I ask where you came across the notion ? I get it from our constitution. The majority does not rule as it does in a democracy. Each state has 2 senators regardless of the population of the state. When it comes to changing the constitution each state gets 1 vote to ratify or deny. At the present it requires 38 states ratifying an amendment to change our constitution. If the US was a democracy less than 10 states could control everything. It is also in our pledge to the flag.

Hi ringo
ringo writes: The United States is a democratic republic. Could you explain what a democratic republic is? I know what a democracy a majority rules. In a republic the majority does not rule. If it did there would have never been a president Trump as Hillary got the majority of the votes. Hi dwise
dwise1 writes: who cares. God cares.
dwise1 writes: A democratic republic is where the government is run by representatives of the populace who have been elected by the populace in a democratic process; ie, a free and fair election. That describes a democracy. Not a republic.
dwise1 writes: And why are you so intent on practicing your deception? What deception?
dwise1 writes: And you dare to drag your god into your anti-American efforts? When is the way our constitution is set up to operate anti-American? God Bless,"John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."

Hi ringo
ringo writes: Nope. It's only fairly recently in the US that the majority is even eligible to vote. Actually in the early days you had to be a landowner to vote.Hiram Rhodes Revels voted before the civil war and later became the first Republican African American senator in 1870, representing Mississippi Joseph Rainey was the first African-American representative to be seated in the U.S. House. He served South Carolina's 1st congressional districtbeginning in 1870 He was also the first African American to be the speaker of the house. The first woman to actively pursue the country’s highest office was Victoria Woodhull a stockbroker, newspaper publisher, and champion of social reform who ran for the presidency in 1872, Just to clear a little of the air.
ringo writes: So the US is neither a pure democracy nor a pure republic. Senators of the United States Congress were originally chosen by state legislatures, in the beginning. So yes in a republic there are many officials who are not elected by popular vote. God Bless,"John 5:39 (KJS) Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me."
