I don't want Trump or any of his staff or family to die or have any lingering effects of Covid-19, but I do want Trump to become very ill first so that he can't then say "See, this Covid virus is nothing". His followers need to hear it from him directly that Covid is real, not a hoax and is a serious issue.

He'd better have some proper symptoms then get better, anything else is a bad outcome, the worst being that he stays symptom free.

The worst would be him getting sick enough to justify invoking the 25th. Amendment. Pence is every bit as evil as il Douche but far smarter, far sneakier and far more dangerous.

Won't help. We've already been told the virus will just disappear like a miracle.Fortunately or unfortunately depending on point of view this may indeed be the prognosis with Trump which would give no end of fodder to the "fake virus" crowd.

Reportedly he has mild symptoms. But he was highly infectious at the debate and quite likely passed it on to others on his team. Ars Technica has more.

As we will recall, there was an earlier report of someone in the White House staff popping positive for COVID. It was dismissed as a single isolated event. I remember that original report and it was mentioned again last night on the radio as having occurred on 17 Sep 2020. Two weeks later, 01 Oct 2020, Hope Hicks pops positive as do Mr. & Mrs. Trump.Coincidence? Fake news? A hoax? To quote a well-known American philosopher: "Not hardly."

Well, if we’re required to be honest about it I I’m having a very difficult time not wishing him some slightly moderate harm.A fantasy: Trump goes under the respirator for the next 32 days after which he starts a long slow recovery through the end of January. When he is finally able to leave the hospitals he will be walked directly into the NY DA’s tender mercies.No. I don’t mean him any real harm.

Two worries for me are first that he will get some kind of sympathy vote. Already I've heard that the Democrats' campaign is easing up on attack ads.The second is that those who are too disgusted by Trump will somehow find Pence more palatable. Yes, in far too many ways Pence is even worse than Trump, but he does maintain a more adult façade, does not present himself as overtly racist (at least not to the extent that Trump is), and does not seem to be as likely to try to burn the entire country down in a race war just because he couldn't get his way. His nicer, almost human, façade might trick some voters who couldn't vote for Trump to vote for him.

One of my fantasies revolves around the fact that it will be mostly Democrats using mail-in ballots and Republicans who will go to the polls on Election Day. The numbers that we will see on the night of Election Day will first reflect the ballots cast at the polls that day and then later factor in the counts from the mail-in ballots. As a result, we expect to see initial results that appear to favor Trump but then as the mail-in counts get added in over the next few days those initial results will be replaced by a Biden victory. In fact, that is part of what Trump is counting on so that he can make his false claim that the election has been rigged by the mail-in ballots.My fantasy is that the Election Day results from the polls will show a Biden win which is then only strengthened by mail-ins and early voting. Not only would that nullify Trump's "rigged election" fantasy, but it would make his defeat even more devastating for his ego.

A few seasons in, Kristen Wiig plays a spoiled rich woman who survived in a friend's doomsday bunker. In flashbacks, we watch her watching the pandemic unfold by the succession of presidential funerals for Pres. Trump, then Pres. Pence, then Pres. Pelosi, etc.Speaking of which, one of the first things a new president does in office is to specify what kind of funeral he wants to have.
