More blatant illegality
Trump expands executive overreach - ends asylum protections for migrants in Central America coming to US
quote:
In a new and expansive executive action President Donald Trump has created a new rule that ends asylum protections for migrants traveling from Central America to the United States.
Those seeking asylum who pass through another country before applying for U.S. asylum will be deemed automatically ineligible for asylum protections.
They really are implacably opposed to the rule of law.

Re: Prominent Republicans are ok with racism
Republicans: it's more important to defend holding human beings in filthy, standing room only cages than it is to defend fellow Americans from racist slurs.
They can hold humans in filth because those humans are brown. They can slur fellow Americans because those Americans are brown.
They can accomplish both for the same reason. Makes perfectly logical sense.

Eschew obfuscation. Habituate elucidation.

Except when they can make up their own law through executive action.

Re: They really are addressing only the terminally bewildered
In honor of the new feature, here are our illustrious leader's recent racist tweets (do a hard reload, there's new JavaScript code that you need. Hit Control-Reload in Chrome, I'm not sure about the other browsers):

Seein' the tweets
I can't see the tweets using the Duck Duck Go browser. Probably has something to do with the built in privacy features, and there may not be anything you can do about it.
They do show up when I use Chrome.

Neo-Nazi thinks Trump goes too far
Even neo-Nazis think Trump’s racism ”goes too far sometimes’: Investigative reporter
quote:
An investigative reporter that has embedded with neo-Nazis and Klan members explained Monday that President Donald Trump’s language echoes what these far-right groups have been saying for years.
...
“He believes the policies he’s trying to implement, it’s been said to me at Nazi barbecues and Klan rallies, these are the things they wanted to happen,” Tenold continued.
...
He explained that when Trump says things like this, these groups love it.
“These are the things they have wanted for a long time,” he said.” I have neo-Nazi Matthew Heimbach, he told me the president goes too far sometimes. That Donald Trump is more racist than him. We’re at a point where Trump is more racist than neo-Nazis.”

Re: They really are addressing only the terminally bewildered
The Twitter war between Trump and four Democrats in the house (Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley) continues:
If anyone knows what Trump is referring to when he says the Congresswomen "have been spewing some of the most vile, hateful, and disgusting things ever said by a politician in the House or Senate", please enlighten us. His reference to "shouting the F...word" refers to Tlaib's promise to "impeach the motherfucker" when speaking to a small gathering shortly after the 2018 election where she was not shouting, video in this tweet:

He's referring to the voices in his head.

Re: Prominent Republicans are ok with racism
From The New York Times:
Trump’s Aides, Not Eager to Defend His Tweets, Also Don’t Condemn Them
This main thrust of this article is to describe how, even if uncomfortable in private over Trump's overt racism, in public cabinet appointees and aids refuse to condemn it.
But what I found interesting:
More frustrating to many internally, they said, was that Mr. Trump interrupted an intraparty Democratic fight between Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the freshman congresswomen known as “the squad” by uniting them against a common enemy in the White House.
Intending to rally the support of his white nationalist base, Trump's tweet may have the unintended effect of uniting the Democrats and taking their current fight out of the headlines.
In that regard, now that the spotlight is no longer shining on them I hope the Democrats can work out some kind of accommodation with each other.

"Conservatives are wrong." The Right Wing seems to view that as hate speech.

Re: They really are addressing only the terminally bewildered
Ha! I'm not the only one!
From The Guardian:
Trump accuses the members of Congress of not loving the USA. The members might reply that their whole point was that a great country like the United States can do better than caging children. But in Trump’s rubric criticism amounts to treason.
